Synopsis

Henry and Sam Miller-Greene are living the dream. They love their careers -- which afford each of them opportunities to travel to exotic locations -- they love their home, Sam’s caring family, and each other. They disagree on the subject of adoption, but are fully committed to each other in marriage ... ’Til Death Do Us Part.

The dream is shattered when Henry’s plane crashes and he’s presumed dead. But four people -- Henry, two other men, and a child -- survive undetected on a remote, small, and insignificant island. Will Sam and Henry’s love be able to survive, as well?

Henry fights to endure in harsh conditions, never knowing when disaster will strike. Sam struggles with his loss, but with help moves on with his life. Will Sam be able to put aside his new love when he reunites with Henry?

Review

I will say this…. My heart broke a billion times reading this. It was a cryfest I tell you. Where do I really begin with this book? How about the prologue…

The prologue really set this story up beautifully. It was like the gun going off and the runners going. You just power through. You have to. The emotions pulled me down often in this story.
The plane crash on the deserted island has only 4 survivors: Henry, Garrett, Devon, and the baby Buddy (no really he’s a baby) These four guys have strengths that contribute to their survival.
Sam, is Henry’s husband and we read this story in his and Henry’s POV. So we know Henry is alive but Sam doesn’t. That was nerve-wracking.

Going through the stages with Sam, feeling the hope and hopelessness from Henry. Seeing Sam move on and Henry reappear… Gut-wrenching!

I often found myself an emotional mess! There are flashbacks throughout this story which honestly were just okay. It interrupted the flow for me a little but soon enough I was thrown back into the emotional rollercoaster of this story.

If you love angst than you’ll love this book.
