Review

There are times when a short, sexy book hits the spot. If you're looking for something like that, I suggest picking up Fate Heats Things Up by Sarah Hadley Brook. At only 50 pages this is a really quick read, but it's sexy and sweet with a bit of a mystery thrown in just to spice things up. The blurb gives you a really good idea what the book is about.

Scott Dwyer and Adam Campbell are two guys you just can't help but root for. Charismatic and personable, I liked them both a lot. The short story is told exclusively from Scott's point of view so we don't learn very much about Adam as a person, but it didn't stop me from enjoying him. There is a lot of telling in the book instead of showing and that made it more difficult to connect to the characters. There's lots of insta-lust/love as well, but with so few pages, it would be hard for there to be much build up. All in all there's some flirting, some hot phone sex, an arsonist, and two guys who fate has thrown together. Check the book out, it's a nice way to spend an hour!
