Review
When I read this blurb, I said "oh I love road trip romances" I have to admit, I didn't get exactly what I was expecting, I got a coming of age, road trip romance. I was good with that!
This book centers around Levi McKane, a Standard University student with Asperger's Syndrome. He is highly intelligent, but very socially awkward. He is going to travel from his home in Florida to go back to college with a young man named Terrence DeVine.
Terrence is a young man heading to San Jose because he has nowhere else to go. The end of their road trip is very uncertain for Terrence. Along the way, these two guys that have never had many friends find themselves becoming friends. They meet people along the way, as you should on any good road trip. When they reach their destination, both find that the other has become more important to them then they each knew. Can a road trip friendship lead to romance!
This is a sweet, silly at times, awkward and endearing story. You want to sit down with these guys and hug them and lecture them all at the same time. Heartwarming to see a story exploring people that don't always say, do or wear the right thing.
