Review
This is book 5 in the End Street series by Amber Kell and RJ
Scott. We have followed Sam and Bob from book 1 and throughout the five books
we’ve picked up many characters along the way. We’ve wondered just WHAT the
heck Sam is and have been thrust into so much fantasy, mystery, suspense, and
awesome entertainment.
This book strips more layers from some of the mystery. We
hear that Sam must pretty much accept what he is even though he and we (the
readers) have zero idea what that means.
In the Case of the Purple Pearl we are helping the
non-gargoyle that sits on Sam’s desk. We finally found out what he is and how
Sam can help him. And it’s Sam’s help that ultimate sacrifices are made. Like,
forever changing sacrifices.
This one ends on a cliffhanger I won’t lie to you and it
makes me sit here and bite my nails until the next story.
Sam is still my most favorite and with each passing book he
becomes more powerful. I adore the love he and Bob share so much. It’s
beautiful even humorous at times. Those two are the foundation of all their
encounters and without them there would be
no epic adventures.
Amber and RJ have one of the greatest series I have ever read
here. I’m so deeply enthralled and in it to win it with these folks!
The Case of the Purple Pearl is everything you look for in a
mystery fantasy and so much more. Grab this whole series and hunker down. It’s
amazing!
Author Bios
Amber Kell has made a career out of daydreaming. It has been a lifelong habit she practices diligently as shown by her complete lack of focus on anything not related to her fantasy world building.
When she told her husband what she wanted to do with her life, he told her to go have fun.
During those seconds she isn't writing, she remembers she has children who humor her with games of "what if" and let her drag them to foreign lands to gather inspiration. Her youngest confided in her that he wants to write because he longs for a website and an author name—two things apparently necessary to be a proper writer.
Despite her husband's insistence she doesn't drink enough to be a true literary genius, she continues to spin stories of people falling happily in love and staying that way.
She is thwarted during the day by a traffic jam of cats on the stairway and a puppy who insists on walks, but she bravely perseveres.
