Synopsis
Politics, puppy dogs, and passion, oh my!
When his Republican opponent outs him with a photo in a Facebook post, Senator Samuel Dalton doesn’t have many options open to him. It doesn’t matter that the photo is totally innocent. He has no choice but to come clean… until his staff suggest putting a spin on it that leaves Sam reeling.
Sure, he’ll end up with a lot of sympathy, not to mention the possibility of more voters from the LGBT community, but it still seems a pretty drastic solution.
Now all they have to do is persuade Gary, the other man in the photo, to play along. It sounds so easy: convince the constituents of North Carolina that he and Sam are engaged.
No big deal, except for the fact that they’ve only just met….

Review
The Senator’s Secret is the newest Dreamspun Desires book
from Dreamspinner Press. (say that 5 times fast) This one will absolutely be a
favorite of mine from this collection.
Sam is an outstanding Senator who is seeking reelection in
North Carolina against a candidate who ends up “suggesting” the Senator is gay
by snapping a picture of him with a campaign member hugging. Of course that’s
when the idea is sprung to play it out.
Gary, who is the person who is thrust into this plan to be
engaged and marry the Senator is just a refreshing and brilliant character. So
well written and I utterly loved him!
In perfect fairytale fashion the two fall in love. I think
what I loved was the low angst and high love this story had. I love myself a deep
emotional story, I do. But I really needed this happily ever after that was
just a slow, sweet ride.
KC Wells has added to this amazing series with a lovely and
happy tale. Especially with it being a serious election year I sort of needed
to read something like this that screamed perfect justice.
I very much recommend The Senator’s Secret!
