Synopsis
Jez Fielding and James MacKenzie—Big Mac to his mates—are in their second year at uni. After partying too hard last year, they make a pact to rein themselves in. While their housemates are out drinking every weekend, Jez and Mac stay in to save cash and focus on their studies.
When Jez suggests watching some porn together, he isn’t expecting Mac to agree to it. One thing leads to another, and soon their arrangement becomes hands-on rather than hands-off. But falling for your 'straight' friend can only end badly, unless there’s a chance he might feel the same.
This book is a complete story and can be read as a standalone.
Review
This is a story about two roommates at University Jez and
Mac. After last term of partying too much their grades slipped and they make a
pact to stay on the straight and narrow this year; each helping the other out.
I love friends to
lovers stories. This one was so very sweet. Mac was endearing and Jez was
brave. I really loved his character. Of course set in his POV we are able to
get attached to him more. He doesn’t let fear decide for him. He was brave in
what he wanted. He stumbled a bit but in the end he did the right thing and
followed his heart.
Mac is a big guy with an equally big heart. Having never
done anything with a guy before, Jez opens his eyes to new things and with
patience and love they fall into each other.
I shed a few tears toward the end there. The inevitable "will
they or won’t they make it" scenario playing out. When you know it’s going to be
an HEA but an author can pull those tears from your eyes, that’s a gift.
This is a wonderful story. A feel good tale.
