Synopsis
In all his relationships, Darren Fielding never found the level of intimacy he witnessed between Thomas Williams and his sub, Peter, the day of Peter’s “rebirth.” Not only that, he never realized such intimacy was possible. For two years, Thomas’s business card has been burning a hole in his wallet. When Darren’s lover moves on, maybe it’s finally time to see where that card takes him.
Collars & Cuffs’ new barman, JJ Taylor, is really conflicted right now. He went to the club with a very specific purpose, already convinced of what he’d find there. Except it’s not what he expected at all. He certainly didn’t anticipate finding himself drawn to the new wannabe Dom. Nor could he have guessed the direction that attraction would lead him.
Old love, new love, vows, pain, rage, moving in, moving on…. The members of Collars & Cuffs face an event that touches some of them deeply, but it will only reinforce what they already know: together they are stronger, and some bonds cannot be broken.

Review
Endings and Beginnings
is the final book in the much loved Collars and Cuffs series written by KC
Wells and Parker Williams. As such, the book is pretty much exactly what the
title implies, an ending as well as a beginning for all of the men of Collars
and Cuffs. We meet new characters, JJ and Darren, and say hello, and then good
bye to some of our favorites from the earlier books. I really liked how the
authors tied up many loose ends, introduced us to a new couple, and gave us
readers a very satisfying HEA all at one time.
This duo of Wells and Williams does a brilliant job of
weaving a story. There’s been a story arc that began in the first book that has
continued throughout all eight novels, but each can be read as a standalone.
(Of course it goes without saying that reading them all in order from beginning
to end is definitely the way to go in order to get maximum enjoyment!) In Endings and Beginnings we see the
culmination of that arc that began with Thomas and Peter. The man who so
cruelly and savagely abused both Peter and Jeff, has died—by his own hand—and
now they along with the friends and Doms who love them must navigate the
aftermath. Peter is withdrawn, Thomas is worried, Jeff is angry and the others
just want to help.
During all this, we meet JJ, the new bartender at BDSM club
Collars and Cuffs who’s harboring a heavy secret, and Darren, who we met
briefly during book 2 in the gorgeous scene between Thomas and Peter where
Peter is shaved. One of the best things about this series, is that each book
and each couple explore a different facet of the BDSM lifestyle. Some are more
intense than the others, but it’s been fascinating to see all the different D/s
relationships. In Endings and Beginnings,
Darren and JJ have a typical D/s relationship, but it takes much patience on
Darren’s part to get there. In true Wells and Williams fashion, there is plenty
of hot sex, but also some very tender, beautiful moments between these two as
JJ learns to trust himself and Darren and open himself up to the possibilities
Darren offers him.
It’s been amazing to see all of these beloved characters
grow. The sense of family between all the couples truly makes this series even
better. There’s passion and love and support and acceptance. My favorites are
Leo and Alex and Dorian and Alan, but each couple and each book have been
wonderful. It’s sad to see this series come to an end, but the sendoff KC Wells
and Parker Williams have given us is truly fabulous and fitting for such a
great series.
