I’m not one for making a fuss over things that pertain to
myself. I am not a fan of the spotlight so I don’t make a big deal over
milestones for myself.
But, today is the 2 year blogiversary of Diverse Reader. I
feel like I need to say a few things because I would have never made it to this
point without all of you.
This year so many wonderful things happened. I went to The
Rainbow Book Fair where I met so many amazing authors for the first time. Boozy
Brunch was born, and I went to the first ever FlameCon in New York City.
I have had wonderful conversations with authors, readers,
fans, and other bloggers and promotional companies. Between promos, blog tours,
guest posts, interviews, and other shenanigans you have all kept me quite busy
here on Diverse Reader.
In many ways you all saved me and for that I thank you. See,
none of this is possible without you. My frantic waking at 2 in the morning
because I forgot to ready a post or I second guess something and need to fix
it. The anger over coding issues and graphic flubs, formatting disasters,
website mix-ups, and little snags are all worth it because in the end it’s
laughter, happiness, prizes, and getting the word out in the world of books.
So this isn’t Happy Blogiversary to me, it’s to US!
Thank you and I hope to make you smile in 2016.
Happy Blogaversary!! Wishing you many more!
