Saturday Author Spotlight: TM Smith #Interview #Giveaway

It's Saturday again. That magical day when I strap an author down and force them to answer my questions. *sigh* Good times. My lovely victim this week is the wonderfully talented T.M. Smith. She's written such series' as All Cocks and Opposites. We are going to look at some of her work, and having a consensual Q&A (no authors were harmed in the making of this post) and of course there's a great giveaway at the end. So, strap in and enjoy.

In the year 2081 our planet survived global warming of an apocalyptic scale. When the dust settled and the water receded Dr. Anthony Smith, one of only a few hundred survivors of GWI, started society anew. Having come to the conclusion that injudicious breeding played a huge role in the destruction of Earth as we knew it in the twenty first century, he worked closely with other survivors to isolate the Dionysus gene. This gene has the ability to manipulate human DNA to ensure that all male children be born gay, and all female children be born lesbians. A new society is born.

In the year 2300 Dr. Smith’s descendants are ushering in the twenty fourth century having maintained control of the government that still rules society. Twins Aiya and Aiyan are preparing to meet their matches and take control of House Gaeland, the current ruling House. But not everything is as it seems.

Love is Love.. it knows no gender and doesn’t conform to restrictions and boundaries. Aiyan has found his soul mate in Kaden, the prince of House Devi that he is matched with and eventually marries. But when the person Aiya falls in love with tests the boundaries put in place after GWI, all hell breaks loose. And in the midst of one secret unraveling, another will emerge. There is a growing anomaly that threatens to destroy over two hundred years of progression. This anomaly is known as Opposites.

Gay for Pay
An All Cocks story

Christopher Allan Roberts thought he had a promising future; Captain of the football team with the promise of a scholarship to play for Alabama. His high school sweetheart and best friend for as long as he could remember, Amanda, by his side, and the love and support of his family. One night, one mistake changed everything. Chris moves to New York, adrift and alone. A walk one night brings him to the flashing lights, loud music and thrumming bodies at club Berlin. A flyer in the men’s room promises fame and fortune for anyone willing to go on camera and have sex, with another man. Money is money, and how hard could it be, right?

Christopher Allan Roberts becomes Kris Alen, All Cocks newest addition, a gay for pay porn star.

Lincoln Carter is honest with everyone in his life, including his family, about who he is and about his sexual preferences. Linc Larson, the openly bi-sexual gay porn star will do anything with anyone, which pretty much writes his ticket in a versatility charged industry. It’s not his sexuality that interferes with his personal life; it’s his inability to trust.

What Linc wants right now, more than anything, is the chance to do a scene with All Cocks newest acquisition, Kris Alen. Six foot two with Auburn hair, an exquisitely toned and inked up body, Kris Alen is sex personified. Linc doesn’t know if it’s the “I want the shiny new toy” aspect that calls to him, or the distant and wounded expression that haunts Kris’s eyes.

Linc figures out early on that Kris is only working the gay for pay angle that All Cocks brings to his bank account. Can a bi-sexual man with trust issues break down the barriers that Kris has built around himself and help Christopher overcome the painful past he is running from.

Gay for Pay is a gay for you story about two men that will have to come to terms with the mistakes they made in their past, if they want to stick around and have a chance at a future.

Interview

Thank you, Tammy, for being here today and for being our spotlight author.
I’ve had the honor of reading many of your books and I’m certainly a fan! Today
I’d just like to ask you some questions and have some fun.

Hi there Meredith, and thank you for hosting me today. I’m very excited, let’s get started!

First I’d love to ask you where your motivation for your All Cocks Series came from?

It was born from a conversation I had with a couple of actual gay porn starts slash cover models at GRL in 2014. Initially, Gay for Pay was just going to be a stand alone book. But then I started getting feedback and comments about other characters in the book, people wanting the original threesome’s story as well as Kory and Jon. I am a huge fan of Cockyboys and the working threesome that run the company. I sort of molded my threesome (Victor, Andrew and Mattie) around that concept.

I’d ask you if you actually watch porn but who doesn’t LOL. Do you actually have a favorite star or 2 that you emulate any of your characters from?

Oh hell yes! I have my coveted membership to cockyboys and while I have used elements and physicality of different models on the site when writing certain characters; the two guys I met that first year at GRL have their own characters in the series. Linc is molded from Randy Blue star Caleb Strong. And Jordan is modeled after another Randy Blue star, Jordan Levine.

You and I have something in common. We are both mothers of an Autistic kid. You’re a huge advocate and you do a blog hop and many other things. Can you tell us about all you do for Aspies?

I don’t do nearly as much as I’d like to, but I try hard to make what I do with the Auction have an impact, make it count. I started the Annual Autism Awareness Auction five years ago on my blog with just six Authors. It has grown by leaps and bounds and the Auction from 2016 raised over $3000! I’m so excited and I can’t wait to begin work on next years. Not one penny of the money raised ever touches my hands. I have 2 different sites I promote (Autism Awareness .org and the light it up blue foundation) and the winners from the auction submit their winning bid in the form of a donation to the site of their choosing. I have no store or website that requires money to be run, I simply set the auction up on my facebook page and the bids go there. So this means there is no overhead and I take no payment for my time, so every last cent is going where it’s needed. It’s not just me though, the Authors, Artists, Designers and Blog Review sites that step up and offer their time, services and books for free are the real heros in my book.

Global warming is not a myth and in your Opposites series you actually show us of a world in the future. A world where global warming caused serious catastrophic destruction. How much do you really feel like this is possible in real life?

I’m convinced this is a definite possibility in our future. Sure, we have taken measures to combat a lot of the damage already done to our planet. But unfortunately, there is no reset button. At best, we’ve simply slowed down the inevitable. As to what exactly will happen, when or how –  Who knows? My fictional story is just one of many possible outcomes. I think something involving space and colonization on another planet is a far great possibility than my story. I’m sure our grandchildren’s grandchildren will see, when the time comes.

Halloween is coming! Do you have any fun plans? What costumes are going to be adorning your brood?

I love Halloween! I just decorated last week. The skeleton is adorning the front door with several “Happy Halloween” signs in the yard. My haunted house candle holders are both out and some ghost tealights adorn the shelves. Mine are all too old to dress up for the most part, but my best friends girls will be going all out and I can’t wait to see what they come up with. I’ll probably hand out candy to the neighborhood kids while watching Hocus Pocus here at home.

One thing I really want to talk about is the latest book in your All Cocks Series, Hide & Seek. Now this one was many books in the making and you started this long before the shooting in Orlando at Pulse Nightclub. The parallels are very much there. You wrote it as a fear of what might be and it actually happened in real life. Do you have any thoughts about it and were you worried about releasing this book because of it?

I actually dedicated the book to the victims and the lights that were snuffed out far before their time. I remember waking up the morning of the attack, the horrific stories and images that were in my newsfeed made me ill. I’m sitting here right now typing this up and I have goosebumps, tears are prickling my eyes. Why so much hate? I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully comprehend, wrap my mind around why it is that a man choosing to love another man… or a woman choosing to love another woman is a valid reason to discriminate, hate and murder another human being.
I got an email from a reader that afternoon mentioning the similarities in book 3 in the series, How to Deal, and the things took place at Pulse nightclub. Shocking, jarring and definitely eye opening… I write gay fiction. When I wrote How to Deal I came up with something plausible and shocking, something that would bring the characters closer together in the end. I love to write about things that could take place in real life but never, in a million years, wanted the fake shooting at the Monster bar that injured Jon and killed Gio to become a reality.
So, to answer your question, no, I wasn’t worried about releasing this book in the wake of the Orlando massacre. I was more worried about the eerily similar issues in How to Deal and the horrific event.

Can you tell the readers what you’re currently working on now and for the future?

Of course! Most recently Hide and Seek, All Cocks book 6, was released and my narrator, Joel Leslie, is currently breathing life into How to Deal. I’m writing the 3rd full length novel in the Opposites series, Snapped, and that first book in the series, Opposites, just recently released on Audiobook. 2017 will bring at least 2 more books in the All Cocks series, perhaps 3, but I’m not exactly sure yet. Then I’ll be saying goodbye to that series aside from a couple of side stories I still want to write (Jordan and Kassie – Michael and Max – Tony and Colton).
There is still another book or two to be written in the world of Opposites as well. But I’m really looking forward to a couple of stand alone stories I’ve been tossing around in my mind. One is a love triangle between three angels, yes you read that right, angels. And one is about a man who loses everything in a heartbeat, only to realize that the loss will lead him to where he’s meant to be.

How can your readers follow you through social media, website?
