Synopsis
Sometimes it's the cop who needs to hit the floor... As a homicide cop, every blood-soaked crime scene settled in my bones and snaked around my spine. There was only one way to exorcise the images from my soul ...
Inside the club, I stopped to scan the room. He was here, Camden Snow. A Norse sex god in the guise of unpretentious youth. Only his ice-blue eyes gave evidence of the Dom who took whomever he wished, whatever way he wanted, with a look and a nod. Merciless.
Cam found me watching him and fixed me with his arctic gaze. This time, I didn't walk away. He cocked an eyebrow. Well?
The last thing I needed was mercy.
I dropped to my knees.
Review
This book also is sort of a set up. I don’t speak of it poorly. I mean there’s more after this short story. A building story. Hunter is chasing a horrific serial killer. We only know minor things about that in this story. Hunter is also OCD about his BDSM rules and limits. After a particularly gut-wrenching day he goes to the club for “help” and yes help is what he needs.
Now, you can argue how Cam and Hunter’s exchange goes to death. Cam’s rules, or lack thereof. You can agree when Cam says Hunter may need a therapist and not him. That MAY be true, and honestly we don’t know if Cam truly helped Hunter at all. We only know when Hunter says he finally slept that there was any results.
There’s a much bigger story brewing here and On His Knees was merely an introduction to these characters. Without question you’ll be searching for more when you finish. If for nothing else the curiosity and intrigue will get you.
