GayRomLit— or as some refer to it as GRL— truly is the must-attend event for
people who create and celebrate LGBT romance. For those who are unfamiliar with
what GRL is I can try and summarize it. Every year in October (this year it’s
the 17th to the 20th with pre-events on the 16th)
the LGBT community consisting of authors, narrators, readers, and professionals
gather to share in their love of LGBT romance. There are signings, author
lounges, many events, spotlights, it really is hours of fun.
The location
changes every year and on the opening night of each year the spot for the next
year is announced. During this time at
GRL there are two signings. One for Registered Authors and one for Featured
Authors.
At these
signings you can go to the authors’ tables, talk, have them sign swag they
have, books you’ve brought, pick up pre-orders, and they will even sign
something you brought from home.
Lounges are
set up as well these are outside the signing times. Registered authors have one
and featured have two lounges.
There will
also be spotlights with readings, Q&A’s and so much more.
Now until
October 14th Diverse Reader is spotlighting authors that will be at
this years GRL. And if you want to know more about it simply head over to the

My first GRL! While I’ve
attended other conferences and signings, I can’t wait to celebrate the genre I
love to read and write. I look forward to meeting readers and favorite authors and
finding new stories and authors to love. I’m also super excited to be on a
storyteller panel with two of my favorite romantic suspense authors—Aimee
Nicole Walker and Victoria Sue—as we lead readers through the romance/suspense balancing
act we regularly juggle. Come to our panel, then find me at my lounge sessions
or signings, grab some cool swag (cold packs, chip clips, mini basketballs, and
more), and let’s celebrate the books we love!
A vigilante assassin, a
vengeful private investigator, a sizzling forbidden attraction, and a palace
coup in the making. Chaos erupts
in Fog City as reckless hearts and warring
factions of justice collide.

Life never tasted so good.
Miller Sykes’s meteoric
rise to award-winning chef is the stuff of culinary dreams, but it’s all
crashing down around him. He’s been given a diagnosis that could cost him
something even more precious than his life: his sense of taste. Rather than
risk the very thing that defines him, Miller embarks on a last tour of his
favorite meals while he still can.
But there’s a catch: he
needs a financial backer to make it happen, and he doesn’t want anyone to know
he’s sick.
Dr. Clancy Rhodes has two weeks to come to terms
with putting aside oncology to work at his father’s thriving plastic surgery
practice.
When the opportunity to
travel with a Michelin-starred chef presents itself, the foodie in him can’t
believe it. It doesn’t hurt that Miller’s rugged good looks are exactly
Clancy’s cup of joe.
As Clancy and Miller travel from coast to coast
and indulge in everything from dive bars to the most decadent of culinary
experiences, they’re suddenly sharing a lot more than delicious meals. Sparks
fly as they bond over their love of flavors and the pressures of great
expectations. But when Miller’s health takes a turn for the worse, Clancy must
convince him he’s more—so much more—than just his taste buds. And that
together, they can win a battle that once seemed hopeless.
