GayRomLit— or as some refer to it as GRL— truly is the must-attend event for
people who create and celebrate LGBT romance. For those who are unfamiliar with
what GRL is I can try and summarize it. Every year in October (this year it’s
the 17th to the 20th with pre-events on the 16th)
the LGBT community consisting of authors, narrators, readers, and professionals
gather to share in their love of LGBT romance. There are signings, author
lounges, many events, spotlights, it really is hours of fun.
The location
changes every year and on the opening night of each year the spot for the next
year is announced. During this time at
GRL there are two signings. One for Registered Authors and one for Featured
Authors.
At these
signings you can go to the authors’ tables, talk, have them sign swag they
have, books you’ve brought, pick up pre-orders, and they will even sign
something you brought from home.
Lounges are
set up as well these are outside the signing times. Registered authors have one
and featured have two lounges.
There will
also be spotlights with readings, Q&A’s and so much more.
Now until
October 14th Diverse Reader is spotlighting authors that will be at
this years GRL. And if you want to know more about it simply head over to the
site by clicking here:
Now for our

Thank you Meredith, and
the Diverse Reader crew, for having me today to talk about my upcoming (and
first!) trip to GRL.
Other than a very small
signing at a local library, this is my first opportunity to meet readers in the
wild, which is incredibly exciting.
I write primarily
contemporary gay romance—and I have a fun, sexy mix of professional athletes,
rock stars, and chefs in my books. Right before GRL, I am branching out into
gay romantic fantasy, with my very first fairytale, Yours, Forever After.
If you like your unicorns a little sassy, you’re going to want to check this
one out.
If you see me, be sure to
say hello—and I love hugs!

Talented
pastry chef Miles Costa is bored. Working at the celebrated Napa Valley
restaurant Terroir is supposed to be the cherry on top to a promising career,
but instead it's a creative desert. So when he gets an offer to turn his online
video series into a career, he leaves his three best friends in Napa and swaps
Terroir for Los Angeles.
With
the resources now at his fingertips, turning his pastry series into a hit
should be easy. Then Miles meets his producer, Evan Patterson, and realizes
he’s screwed. And not even in the good way.
It's not a meet-cute . . .
Evan
lives to work and loves every minute detail Miles loathes. Not only that, he
seems hell bent on micromanaging every aspect of Miles' show despite the fact
he knows nothing about the culinary arts. Evan doesn’t even like sweets—until
Miles seduces him with a rainbow of delectable confections he can't resist.
. . . it's a collision.
With
every confrontation, the intensity between them flares even hotter until
they're not sure if it's hatred they feel . . .or something else. Is it
possible for two people with nothing in common to discover common ground and
romance?

Throughout
the restaurant industry, Chef Bastian Aquino is a notorious control freak. For
two very long years, Kian Reynolds has worked for Bastian as his special
assistant, doing whatever he and his restaurant needs. The toughest part isn’t
even all the impossible tasks he expects Kian to complete flawlessly—it’s the
hopeless, endless love he feels for his older boss.
Falling
for someone so far above him might be agonizing, but at least his feelings aren’t
unrequited. Bastian fell in love right alongside him, but at the very
beginning, they made the choice to abstain for logical, smart, professional
reasons.
But
love isn’t logical, it isn’t smart, and it definitely isn’t professional. It
defies containment, even by Bastian. While he watches Bastian struggle with
their attraction, Kian finally comes to the conclusion that he’s done.
He’s
done standing off the side, done not getting any of the credit, done letting
Bastian define the boundaries of their relationship. Most of all, he’s done
waiting.

When Caleb Chance walked out in Detroit five
years ago, leaving his band, millions of his fans and his lover behind, Leo
knew he could never forgive.
Some things, no matter what the cause, are unforgivable.
But Leo never expected Caleb to show up again, clean and sober and wanting to get their band, Star Shadow, back together. He definitely never expected to agree to Caleb’s plan.
He never expected to confront the love of his life again—or the disaster of his past, the hopelessness of his future, and every terrible thing he’s been carrying inside him.
But maybe some things aren’t so terrible after all.

For the last ten years, Benji and Diego have
not only been members of Star Shadow, one of the biggest boy bands in the
world, but best friends. During the years of fame and fortune they've also held
a front row seat to the callous cruelty of the music industry. As much as
they've both wanted more from their relationship, it never felt worth it to
trade what they have for something hot, heady and completely impossible.
But is it really?
After welcoming back their long lost member and making it through their reunion tour with a new lease on fame, life suddenly seems too short to continue settling for safety.
Benji and Diego could have everything they’ve ever wanted, but can they figure out how to choose each other? Despite every impossible thing the world intends to throw at them?
It’s never the end . . . it’s only the beginning.

Fifteen years ago, Prince Graham of Ardglass
barely escaped from the ancestral castle with his young life. Rescued by a
magical creature and spirited off to a faraway valley, he grew into a strong,
capable man—never shirking his duties on the farm, but forever bitter over his
father’s betrayal. But just when he has finally come to terms with being lost
and staying lost, a visitor arrives in his valley and changes everything.
After a lifetime spent lost in his beloved books, Prince Emory awakens to find his villainous aunt working to usurp the throne of Fontaine. When she sends him on a dangerous quest, he’s certain the journey is a trap, but he’s not willing to accept defeat without a fight.
But a fight is something Rory is unprepared and untrained for, until he’s saved by a handsome, unassuming farmhand and his snooty, smug, and surprisingly talkative unicorn.
