Synopsis
Vance feels trapped. He never cared about his family’s wealth and prestige, but he finds himself pinned in place by the weight of his father’s expectations. Vance would much rather sweat in his studio creating metal sculptures with his blow torch than take any kind of position at the family firm. When pressure from his father mounts, Vance is torn between going with the flow or making waves. But everything changes when Vance hits a bike messenger with his car.
Kyle has drifted through his life with a massive chip on his shoulder against the privilege that’s always been just out of reach. His job as a bike messenger doesn’t help. He’s stuck delivering packages to the very elites he loathes. When Vance crashes into Kyle, they’re suddenly thrust onto different paths than they ever expected. But can they take this new path together, or will egos and societal privilege create too many obstacles to overcome?
Review
This
book should definitely come with a caution label. You may combust while
reading, make sure to have a fire extinguisher close at all times. I
have adored and loved Author Ann Lister for years. I was extremely
honored to be giving the chance to read her newest release Moved by
You.
I
wouldn't classify this story so much as an enemy to lover genre but more
as two hardheaded and extremely stubborn men who can so easily anger
each other just by opening their mouths.
The
phrase first impressions comes to mind when these two men first meet.
Rich sexy man opens office door only wearing a towel to the rugged sexy
bike carrier delivering a signed package. One of them is totally enamored
while the other is anything but impressed. Then only minutes later to
encounter an accident between the two men.
Vance,
although born into money has had no love or respect from his family
and is forced into his family's dynasty. His love is in the form of
metal.
Kyle,
tattooed and definitely the very opposite of everything that Vance is,
has had to overcome many obstacles in his life but is very proud of the
man he is today.
Different
situations throw these two together, the physical attraction is
definitely there but Kyle's inability to sugarcoat how he feels and
Vance's inability to tolerate being associated with other wealthy
individuals, seems to make their tasks of being together nearly
impossible. They seem to easily anger the other within minutes of being
in one's company.
