Synopsis

When being seduced by a rock star, only a fool falls in love.

Sean
The night Dante Sinclair lured me into his dressing room and gave me my first kiss, I was oblivious to one important fact: all rock stars are spoiled narcissists. I learned my lesson when our failed attempt at a reunion left me humiliated and heartbroken.

Now, Dante is booked into the music retreat I run. Years have passed, so I know he won’t recognise me. He’ll have no idea the man cooking his meals and washing his clothes is the same skinny boy he kissed so long ago. And when he begins to look at me like I’m his new favourite muse, my anonymity will be my only protection against the sensuality of his charms.

Dante
Grey. It’s the name I gave to the only boy I ever kissed. He is my favourite memory. The place my mind goes when the expectations of rock stardom threaten to choke me. I barely remember what he looked like, but I’ll never forget the way he made me feel.

When I came to this retreat, my goals were simple: get out of my creative rut and write my new album. But one look into Sean’s eyes is enough to threaten the tenuous control I have over my life. He swears we’ve never met, but there’s a Grey-ness to him that inspires me, even as it makes me ache to satisfy the cravings I’ve denied for so long.

He may not be my Grey—but he’s close enough.

Review

I fully admit to being a complete sucker for a rockstar romance and this one has the sweetest twist! When we meet rockstar, Dante Sinclair it’s his seventeenth birthday and he’s already been famous for years. What do you give the kid that already has everything? Your almost sixteen your old self’s first kiss!
The boy Dante finds backstage shouldn’t necessarily be beautiful, but he captures all of Dante’s attention. He calls him “Grey” because of the color of his eyes and their kiss is interrupted before he ever learns who the Grey eyed boy is. This birthday begins with a gift of an innocent kiss that quickly heats up and ends with a longing that never quite goes away. It will be years before circumstances throw these two together again and no one better stand in their way this time. The chemistry they had as teenagers is nothing compared to the heat between them as grown men.

This book made me so happy, I really loved the whole thing! It has this sweetness and innocence about it, that longing for something you can’t have. Then...bam! These two are like fire together, even just sitting across the table from each other. It can’t be denied, even as both try to resist. I love all the little things that happen and almost happen leading up to their meeting as adults.
While I was reading, I found myself saying out loud “Come on you guys, this is meant to be” I just loved them so much. I love the banter and friendship between Sean (Grey) and Dante, I especially love whey they finally give in to each other. This book just has all the elements of a great love story and it was a fantastic read!
