Diverse Reader~ 3 Year Blogiversary Guest Post #Giveaway

I’m super thrilled that it’s Diverse Reader’s 3 year BLOGIVERSARY! Exactly three years ago I, by myself, decided I wanted to open a forum where I could talk about books. I said to Erin (Les Joseph) I was doing it and she was a huge support. As was AJ Rose and Kate Aaron. They really stepped up to help me navigate what I was doing. I knew there were many blogs out there in the LGBTQ community and I just wanted a space to help authors and readers. Authors have a hard time promoting. It’s a dog eat dog world and with so much stress I wanted to make it easy for them. I reached out to a lot of authors. Most of them eager to help my blog in its early months. 

As much as many authors will say I’ve helped them, they’ve helped me in return! I couldn’t do what I love without them.

As Diverse Reader grew so did the demands. And I was doing it alone. I started working with Promotional Companies on top of individual authors. I ran huge giveaway posts, guest posts, the whole 9. Then came the working with Publishers. Riptide, Dreamspinner, Pride Publishing, Interlude Press, and more. I was drowning and I needed to call in reinforcements. 

Enter Erin. She jumped in to simply help and has been here ever since. Then Erin and I realized it was still so much and I reached out to Morningstar who happily became a part of the Diverse Reader family.

Those ladies are my saviors. I have no doubt I will have to call on others to help as the demands continue to grow and I look forward to everything that’s thrown our way.

For the next week one author a day has put together a post and a giveaway to help celebrate Diverse Reader’s 3 year blogiversary! 

Yes, there are so many authors that have graced the pages of this blog. And every year I try to do a little something different to celebrate. This year this is what it is.
