Synopsis

What happens when thirst becomes an obsession that can’t be quenched?

Forty-year-old Zachariah Taylor prides himself on being the overprotective older brother of seven. He owns a successful bar, Zach’s Bar and Grill, in the quiet town of Riverside Falls and loves the life he’s built for himself. But as his siblings move on and find their forever partners in life, he’s starting to feel less and less needed—not to mention old. Suddenly, he’s finding it even harder to ignore the younger man who has pursued him for years, but the twelve years separating them is something Zach can’t seem to overlook.

Twenty-eight-year-old Drew Belford has been in love with the stubborn Zach Taylor for seven years. Sure, he was a kid when they’d first met, but what Zach is determined to ignore is the man Drew has become. Drew, however, is just as strong-minded and refuses to let Zach use their age difference as an excuse to disregard the attraction burning between them. He doesn’t need an overprotective older brother—he needs Zach.

When Drew begins to get unsettling messages from an unknown person, Zach feels helpless in a way he’s never felt before. How can he protect Drew from someone he can’t find? The thought of anyone hurting Drew unleashes years’ worth of pent-up desire Zach has had for the younger man. Is his thirst for Drew enough to protect him from the danger lurking in the shadows, or will the threat of the unknown be enough to dowse the spark of love between them—and silence Drew forever?

Review

Jaclyn Quinn writes an extraordinary story with her latest release Thirst for You. As I read the book the words that were written grabbed me within pages. I often found myself saying “you better run real fast if they find out your identity!” When a stalker sets their sights on Drew.

Drew often feels that his age determines the way he is often treated. Tired of always feeling like he doesn’t know how to make the right choices for himself especially in the eyes of his older brother and the annoying stubborn man of his desires, Zach.

Although, it’s written easy for a reader to fully embrace the love and affection they have for Drew, I can fully understand Drew’s frustrations. So, when trouble finds him instead of telling those who are close, he at first keeps it to himself. It’s only when this person starts to take the threats and make them into reality does Drew finally realize that he needs not only the help of the police, but his overbearing brother, friends, and most importantly, Zach. What should finally bring Drew great satisfaction after years of basically throwing himself at Zach, there are times he starts to second guess the brewing relationship that is finally being brought out into the open like he has always wanted with Zach. Then he starts to blame himself for bringing the people he cares about into the crossfire.

With the danger coming close to Drew, his growing relationship with Zach, the constant fear mixed in with sexual desire, this is definitely one story you don’t want to miss!

I absolutely love stories where there is dangers thrown in with highly sexual energy between the two lovers!
