Saturday Author Spotlight: Lynn Michaels #Interview #Giveaway

Yes it's Saturday. My favorite day of the week. I can sleep in a little later and it's the Author Saturday Spotlight! This week we have the author of Wanton, Lines on the Mirror, The Holeshot, and many more wonderful books. As usual there is an interview, we will look at some of her books and wrap it all up in a perfect giveaway bow. So stick around.

Corey has graduated from college and is trying to find his way, but when his Dom/boyfriend, Jack, demands that he move in with him, Corey loses himself in emotion, fighting Jack every step of the way.
Jack is a rich owner of a real estate investment firm and he's determined keep his submissive/boyfriend in line, even though Corey refuses to use his safe words.
Will their play become all consuming, or will they learn to trust each other enough to find love?

Do you believe in Christmas miracles? Love at first sight? How about getting hit with Cupid’s arrow? Can it happen to you?
Ami is a cupid, behind on his quota. Bringing love to lonely humans is a satisfying career, until he starts to recognize just how lonely he is. It is Christmas time and he can no longer bring himself to do his job.
Paul is an up and coming musician with a happy soul. He has raw talent and the support of family and friends. Success is his for the taking. It’s Christmas time and life is good. Then a stranger comes into his life, and they are a match made in heaven, until Ami just disappears...
Will love bring a Christmas miracle when Ami, the failing cupid, meets Paul, the aspiring musician?

Campbell Fain has been rebelling against his father, refusing to grow up for so long, he's not sure what his life really means anymore. When he meets the man that makes his heart melt, he lies to impress him. Unfortunately, facing the truth may turn out to be the least of his problems when he's forced to come face to face with the sins of his father.

He was the quarterback in high school, all American sweetheart and solid guy, but Stone Medlock is just figuring out his life. When he meets Campbell Fain, it turns his world around and he just might be falling hard for the rebellious punk, but will he still be able to support and trust Campbell when the lies come out?

Will Campbell's lies tear them apart before they even begin? Will they find the love behind the lies?

What happens when a brilliant musician teams up with a hot dancer for an important school project? Will they fall apart or make the grade?

Interview

Thank you, Lynn, for being here again and talking with us. I’ve had the honor of reading your books and watching you grow in this genre. I’m going to ask you a few questions and get to know you a little more perhaps.

Thank you so much for having me. I love talking with you – any time!!

First, how was your Valentine’s Day? Did you do anything special?

My hubby and I exchanged cards and sweets, but we will be doing dinner out this weekend. It’s kind of been our tradition to do our night out a little later, rather than fight the Valentine’s Day crowd. I’m looking forward to it.

You write romance in the M/M genre. Do you find this time of year to be more inspiring to you? If so why, if not what time of year does it for you?

I do find it inspiring, because everyone is in the love-mood. I love a great Valentine’s Day story. I do find other times of the year inspiring too. Particulary summer time, when everyone goes on vacation, finds stuff to do outside, or heads to the beach. People are relaxed and it’s the perfect time to fall in love.

Out of all the books in the world (minus your own) what is one that you would say is completely underrated?

The Garden of Eden by Ernest Hemingway. It was his last incomplete novel and published after his death. I think his family published it. In any event, even if you’re not a Hemingway fan, you should check it out. It’s erotic and daring and filled with gender-bending subtext. It’s very sensuous, but still written in Hemingway’s classic style. It’s brilliant.

Of all the characters you’ve written which would you say emulates you the most?

That’s hard. They all have some piece of me in them, big or small. Davey’s drive, Tyler’s playfulness, Martin’s insecurity...I could go on...but, the most like me? I don’t think that character has shown up yet...

Can you tell us what 2017 has in store for you book wise?

Absolutely! Holeshot 2...should be out in March. Woot! I’m working hard at finalizing edits now. I know it’s a long time coming and I’m super excited to be sharing it soon!  After that, probably Time For Love. It’s been sitting in the draft-box for awhile now. And maybe a few other surprises along the way!

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and could take only 3 material things what three things would you take?

The first would be sunscreen (a super big bottle) because I burn quickly! The second would be a very large and empty notebook and #3 a pack of pens. Because I never stop writing and I would really want to capture the fun stories I could come up with out there for after I got rescued!!

How can your fans follow your work? Twitter, FB, Instagram, website?

I have a brand new Instagram but warning – I’m still figuring it out:  https://www.instagram.com/lynnmichaels69/

What’s one thing you would tell a new author just starting out in this genre?

Write what you love and what you would want to read and don’t ever stop! I write the stories I want to read and that makes it fun for me and hopefully will make it fun for anyone who reads my stories and that’s the way it’s supposed to be. If it isn’t fun and self gratifying, why do it?
