Igneous.
When Cooper’s parents divorce, he finds himself landed in Week About—one week with his mum and one week with his dad.
Only, it’s not just his dad he has to live with. There’s Lila, too: The other woman, the one who stole the rock-solid foundation of his life.
And then ...
There’s Jace. Lila’s son. Lila’s smug, regurgitated-fish-scale-blue eyed son.
All Cooper wants is to have his family back the way it once was, but there’s something about this boy that promises things will never be the same again.
Sedimentary.
Resisting the realities of his new life, Cooper and Jace get off to a rocky start. But rocky start or not, after hundreds of shared memories together, they forge something new. A close ... friendship.
Because friendship is all they can have. Although it’s not like they are real brothers...
Metamorphic.
But how does that friendship evolve under the pressures of life?
Under pressures of the heart?
Shane is a little bit screwed. He has just started college and is stuck rooming with that bastard Trey. His sister's boyfriend. His sister's damn fine boyfriend. Uh-oh. This so wasn't going to happen. But try as he might, there's just a little too much to ignore between the two of them...

Sam’s freaking out. He’s 30 in three weeks. And what has he done in his twenties? It’s pretty simple math: nothing exciting at all. But hey, he has three weeks right? Maybe that’s just enough time to tick his way through a 20s Must Do List . . .
Luke’s freaking screwed. He’s come out to his family, and his friends. Except there’s a certain someone who doesn’t know yet: his neighbor of 7 years. Who also happens to be his best friend. Who Luke needs to tell the truth, but he just . . . can’t . . . seem to . . .
Jeremy’s freaking over-the-moon. It’s the countdown to his 15th birthday, and his goal is simple. No matter what, he’s going to spend heaps of time with saucy Suzy. But first he needs to get his over-protective, no-girlfriend-'cause-you’ll-get-her-pregnant parents off his back. And what better way than pretending he’s gay?
Sam, Luke, and Jeremy. Three guys who have a lot of history together, and a lot of future too—
—well, if they can sort out their issues, that is.
A Friends to Lovers Novel
“… Five hundred kisses are all it takes to steal a heart.”
Chris Montgomery doesn’t believe it, and he’d know. He’s met— and had— many a man. None of whom he’d want to share five hundred kisses with. If you don’t like someone, you just don’t like them. End of story.
No amount of kissing will change that.
Dylan Halsworth doesn’t believe it either. But Chris and his arrogant, “always right, dare I be wrong” attitude has Dylan challenging him to try it. And who knows, maybe watching his most-loathed neighbor suffer through five hundred kisses with the same man is worth it? He’d sit back, crack open a Mountain Dew, and have a good laugh…
But… shit… there is one slight snag in his plan.
Chris has chosen Dylan with whom to prove his point…

INTERVIEW
Thank you Anyta for being here today! I am so excited to
have this chance to interview you. Rock has to be one of my favorite books of
all time. Truly brilliant. I’d like to ask you a few questions, nothing
intrusive, but I want to get to know you, the writer, a little better. So,
let’s get started.
The story had been simmering in my mind on and off in its various
incarnations for years until it got to a point where I HAD to write it. I
paused halfway through another novel, because the story was begging to get out.
The rocks were one of the triggers that pushed me to that point. My son
collects all manner of sticks and they are each unique and intensely valuable,
and I just knew Cooper collected too. He collected stones, and so I brushed up
on my geology, lol, and researched native New Zealand rocks, as well as the
histories and folklores and beliefs of certain rocks in different cultures.
Struggles . . . A writer constantly faces challenges! When I first started
writing, I had no idea how to go about publishing. What did that mean for my
book? Did I write up query letters and search for agents? Did I write directly
to publishing houses? Did I attempt self-publishing?
I tried a bit of everything, and that first book I submitted to agents
for months before deciding to self-publish. Now I’m a hybrid author, who both
self-publishes and works with an agent in the hopes of traditionally
publishing. I love both!
Some of my books get titled before they get written! Rock was like that.
I knew right away. Same with (In)visible, Noticed Me Yet?, Liam Davis & The
Raven, The F Words. The others came during or afterwards. Usually I’d be in the
proofreading stage when a name might pop out at me.
A bit of a mix, really. I love romance books, so most of the books I pick
up will have a romantic storyline. I love contemporary stories (both MM &
MF), historical stories, fantasy, paranormal, and fairy tales.
Every book I write, no matter how much I “feel” it, I hit a slump
somewhere. Some slumps are bigger than others—in fact, as I was writing the
last book in my Guardians of the Angels series, I hit the biggest one yet. I
had to put it aside and write something else (which happened to be rock). Then
I got back into it and finished. So sometimes my method is to write something
“fun” or something that just begs to be written first. But in all cases, I walk
a lot. I find being active helps me suss out the issues I was having with the
book.
Go out into nature with no paper or pen, and of course the perfect
solution uncovers itself! :P
Hard. I like a variety of things. But . . . I was a huge fan of When Harry Met Sally in my early
twenties. Kings of Convenience’s I’d
Rather Dance With You is special as it was the only song I didn’t like on
the mixed CD he gave me shortly before we started dating. (I LOVE it now).
There are heaps of bands I love, but Stars
(Canadian band) come to mind. Their songs are always so emotional. I love it
when they perform in Berlin!
Do you insert yourself in to each book you
write or do you try to avoid placing yourself there?
I’m always there, but not by design, I just “feel” a story, and usually
after writing it I notice that the reason I might have felt it as much as I did
was because of a past experience, or because I find certain traits attractive.
Lol. In all stories I’ll explore some family element. And I’m a big fan of
friendship, so I’ll weave that in someway too. Usually my boys develop their
love through this.
How do you celebrate a book release?
Lol! I buy books! I’m a book-buying addict. :P
Can you tell us about your upcoming projects?
Other Anyta Sunday novels in the works . . . well, I’ve a couple of
projects I’m working on. One is a gay urban fantasy—think Buffy Meets Harry Potter
with a gay twist (and dragon-shifter warriors). Another is an historical set in
the 1700s inspired by the life of James Annesley (but with a HEA). Quite
different projects, but I felt like experimenting.
After these babies have been done, I’m focusing on more contemporary
novels.
