Synopsis

Insanity was in the eye of the beholder.

Harmon Little was a surveillance expert. He lived in the shadows, and he liked it there. There wasn’t a place he couldn’t get in and out of without detection. As usual with his mischievous nature, his current assignment went south, and he ran. He thought he was free and clear until he knocked someone over in a grocery store aisle.

Sanity wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.

Solomon “Solo” Poe was counting calories. Working out until he fell into bed hungry and exhausted. He was plain and pudgy, plus he couldn’t remember when he’d last gone on a date. He wanted more than the occasional, lights out, one-night stand. So, he was going to lose the weight and find himself a man. At least that was the plan, then a big man with a huge smile tried to kill him in a store aisle. There was one thing he was sure of, Harmon was his.

Review

I want to start off this review with full disclosure. I began beta-ing this book but then due to an overloaded schedule I had to stop. Instead I opted to review it. See, I've been reading J.M. Dabney for a very long time. In order I started with Berzerker and from there I knew she was an author this genre needed. She doesn't write typical men. She writes hairy men, overweight men, scarred, not beautiful, mostly broken, men. I love that.

In Little we see a man who, on the outside, is actually stunning, on the inside he's like shattered glass and thick fog. But his heart.... now, that is a beautiful thing. This is a man who craves love like I crave a quiet corner to read. When he sees the man of his dreams he does what every irrational, love-hungry person does... Kidnaps him. Thus beginning a romance that is by far wonderfully unique.

Poe is perfect for Little. He actually surprised me. When we see him he's not all put together even though he looks it. And what he became shocked even him.

Little and Poe's story dips and curves. We watch unsure men fall in love. We see them question their sanity and take down a vicious person. It was action, love, humor, and the perfect kind of twisty.

Very good read with great flow and amazing characters.
