In a battle on the barren fields of Arberfan is where this story will end.
Review
As someone who is a fan of paranormal books I’m always looking for a new and interesting story to read. Sometimes that is the typical woven into a new package but other times it’s finding a story that puts a new twist on the typical and gives it a whole new life. RJ Scott succeeded in that for these stories.
Each story was like a piece to a puzzle. By finishing one you were another step closer to completing it and seeing the whole picture. Each character's story that was brought to life was not just about the love they would find but the strength they would gain to stand and fight against the evil that was in the way of peace and equality for every species.
RJ Scott has written some of my favorite characters and she did it here giving me even more to love in a long list. Phin and Joseph were probably one of my top favorite couples. Their competing personalities were fun to watch interact, both strong willed and so in love with the other. I will admit to struggling a bit when it came to them since Joseph had been nursing a broken heart before. Each species in this type of trope have the norms that get written but here RJ took some of those norms and turned them upside down giving the human side of the wolves more say in their relationship, making vampires less cold hearted, and making the incubus magical in their own right.
