Synopsis
THIS IS THE THIRD INSTALLMENT IN THIS SERIES and CAN STAND
ALONE.
Book 2 is recommended to read first.
The
Story of ALPHA, CALL, OMEGA & LION ALONG WITH A COUPLE OTHER
FAVORITES
It’s
been a couple years since Commander John Marion – the US Navy’s most decorated
SEAL – hung up his dog tags, choosing his cherished Alpha over war.
Call
and Alpha have settled comfortably into their carefree lives nestled in the
mountains of South Carolina. No more combat for the Commander and no more
ordered killings for the deadliest assassin in the world.
However,
nothing stays peaceful forever.
When
Alpha’s brother Omega comes to their secluded home with a distressing message
from their Order, Alpha has to answer the call.
But what neither of them expect is for the Order to send them a new
assassin, one just as deadly as both of them, to seek their counsel and bring
them back Persia.
Lion’s
commanding presence was not at all what any of them anticipated. Especially
Omega. Lion realizes what Omega is to him right away, but the stubborn man
fights his every advance. Lion knows he and Omega have to connect if they’re
going to be victorious. He was sent to bring back an army but if he can’t get
his cherished to yield to him, they are sure to fail.
Call
refuses to let Alpha fight a gang of rebel assassins without him. Omega will
fight by his brother’s side, no matter what… and Hawk saw them coming for his
help before anyone else. Together they’ll fight the toughest opponents they’ve
ever faced. As always… these badass warriors are up for the challenge.

REVIEW
In
this final book of the thrilling Blue Moon series, A.E. Via has ended
with a high octane, action packed finale. Call of the Alpha is a fitting
tribute to this series - full of hot badass men, life or death
situations, and plenty of steamy romance as only she can write. This
story packed quite the punch and I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning
to end.
We're
thrown into the fray immediately with Call and Alpha. These two guys
might be retired from their killing days but that doesn't mean they sit
around twiddling their thumbs. Oh no, they spend their hours training,
which means hiding out in the mountains, hunting one another. And if you
know anything about these men, or any of the men A.E. Via writes, you
can just guess what that "hunting" leads to once the prey is caught! But
their instincts are still sharp, their skills still precise, so when
Alpha's brother, Omega, shows up to let Call and Alpha know Alpha's
beloved Order is in trouble, Call and Alpha are ready to jump in and
help.
A
new character named Lion is introduced and boy was he something else.
Like all of the guys in A.E.'s books, this one is deadly and beautiful
and so SO captivating. He's been sent to bring back Omega and Alpha,
along with Call and a few members of his Beastmaster's team to uncover
the traitor bent on destroying the Order. It was SUCH a treat to see
more of Hawke and Pierce as they were probably my favorite couple in
Blue Moon II. What follows is plenty of suspense, explosions, sarcasm,
and some pretty hot sex. Lion and Omega have such a cool dynamic and the
connection between Call and Alpha was so intense I'm surprised my
screen didn't melt. I love the way A.E. Via explores the different
facets of each relationship, showing so much passion and love it's like a
living breathing thing.
I
also have to give huge kudos to the powerful and so vivid imagery Via
imparts as she explained both Omega's and Lion's love for their
homeland. I felt like I was there, smelling all those exotic scents and
feeling the heat of the dessert. I think this was the strongest showcase
of her writing in the whole series. Sure the sex scenes are hot and the
action feels like a blockbuster movie at times, but it was the visceral
descriptions she used in Blue Moon III that really made me feel Omega's
love of his homeland and his longing to go back there. There were some
places in the book where the writing was less than stellar: sentence
fragments that made paragraphs seem choppy, misspelled words, etc, but
all are minor complaints and the story itself pulled me along from the
first page until the last and I sure didn't want it to end. I've loved
this series. Each book has gotten stronger, better and I'm sad to this
series come to an end, but can't wait to see what A.E. Via does next.
