Author Saturday Spotlight: A.E. Via *Interview and Giveaway*

There is not a book of A.E. Via's that I have not read... Well, technically I'm in the process of reading Blue Moon 2, but you know what I mean. Every one of them I have loved and every one of them I would recommend. You like menage? Well than you'll love  You Can See Me:
Blurb:
World renowned chef, Prescott Vaughan was at the height of his career. Right before he's to leave for Paris to work alongside his idol, a horrific car accident leaves him completely blind.

His female fiancé leaves him in a state of desperation and depression. He pines for love, companionship, and so happens to find it in the form of his very sexy neighbor. Sexy male neighbor, Dr. Rickson 'Ric' Edwards.

Prescott's not gay - at least he never considered himself gay - until Ric saves him from a date, gone terribly wrong. The two neighbors hit it off quickly and waste no time exploring and learning each other. Things are great until Ric begins to have his doubts about meeting Prescott's many wants.

When Ric insist he and Prescott take a breather, Pres finds himself lonely and miserable again. Enter, male escort and aspiring chef, Blair McKenzie to fill the void.

In the meantime, Ric works on his issues that prohibit him from displaying the love he knows he has for Prescott. When Ric is finally ready and returns to claim Prescott he's not sure that Pres can let go of the sexy, southern, hotness that is Blair McKenzie. After Ric has his own personal encounter with the sinfully sexy man, he can't help but become entranced and crave more as well.

Pres soon realizes that there's no need to choose between his two men, because when all three of them finally come together - grab a cold drink - because the heat is going to go all the way up!

This is not your typical gay ménage romance. Everyone is not happy, skipping along, and loving life. These men are at each other’s throats. They live completely separate lives; fuss, cuss, and fight until they all realize exactly what the problem is...too damn much sexual tension.

Take a walk on the sexy O-M-G side that has you pulling out your hair, drinking, and cursing in the best way with her Blue Moon Series:

Blurb:
Angel DeLucca is one of the most sought after gay bachelors in Virginia Beach, but when he tries to find true love, no one takes him seriously. After a one-night stand goes wrong, he comes into contact with hunky, straight, firefighter Maximus (Max) Strong, and Angel’s mission in life is now clear.

Max’s older, protective, brother, Ryker secretly craves the attention and praise of a Master. Angel’s Security Chief, Master Dom, Sebastian ‘Bass’ Bagetteli, shatters that secret with their first intense encounter.

These men’s stories will unravel in a whirlwind of romance, bondage, revelations, action scenes, and very hot sex.

Blurb:
The Story of: HAWK, PIERCE, SHOT & FOX WITH THE BEASTMASTERS

Pierce aka Strategic Intelligence Specialist, Backhander is back to
flush out some of the DEA’s most notorious criminals, and he has one
helluva’ team backing him up. The country’s most decorated Navy
Seals…the Beastmasters.

Pierce is more than capable of doing his job, but he has one insanely hot distraction that continuously causes him to second guess his hidden orientation–
Dane Aramis, call-sign, Hawk. Hawk can see what most people can’t,
and whether his sexy Pierce wants to admit it or not, he can see the
brilliant man’s desire runs deep for him. Hawk is not the type of Seal to lose his man. Pierce will be his.

However, when Pierce and the Beastmasters are on their final assignment, the last person they expect to encounter with the
opposition is rogue assassin… Omega.
The man is unstoppable, and when he comes too close to what
Hawk holds dear, the Beastmasters call on the only man that can control the lethal assassin. Omega’s faster more skilled brother, Alpha.

Bringing Alpha - the deadliest man in the world that has no allegiances and no alliances back into society may be disastrous for everyone involved. But, Hawk is willing to take that risk to keep Pierce safe.

Follow rough, tough and sexy as f*ck characters, God and Day in Nothing Special:

Blurb:
Detective Cashel 'Cash' Godfrey is big, tattooed and angry so people typically keep their distance. He's fresh out of the police academy, however, no one is looking to partner with the six foot four beast with a huge chip on his shoulder and an inability to trust. When Cash scans the orientation room he wasn't expecting to find sexy hazel eyes locked onto him. Eyes of the handsome Detective Leonidis 'Leo' Day.

Leo is charming, witty, hilariously sarcastic and the only one that can make Cash smile. He’s proud, out and one bad-ass detective.

Together Cash and Leo become the most revered and successful narcotics detectives Atlanta’s ever seen. Able to communicate and understand each other, without even having to voice it, they quickly climb up the promotional ranks.

When Cash saves Leo's life in a raid that turns deadly, Leo begins to see something in the big man that no one else does…something special. But Leo fears he'll never break through the impenetrable wall that protects Cash's heart.

Nothing Special takes the reader through various emotions throughout the richly fulfilling plot that’s full of erotic gay romance, heartache, passion, trials and tribulations, police action scenes, and an intriguing twist that comes to an amazing ending that’s impossible to see coming.

See them again in Syn and Furious' story: Embracing His Syn:

Blurb:

This story contains characters from previously published novel 'Nothing Special' but Embracing His Syn is a stand-alone novel.)

Sergeant Corbin 'Syn' Sydney transferred from the Philadelphia Police Department as soon as he'd heard there was going to be an opening on Lieutenant Cashel Godfrey and Lieutenant Leonidis Day's Atlanta Narcotics Task Force. Syn’s primary goal in his life has been to be a great cop. There has been no time for relationships, romance, or especially love.

Syn was dedicated to his new force, focused and ready to back up God and Day as their third in command, but what he wasn't ready for was the feelings he got from seeing the love they had for each other.

Syn's all prepared to accept his lonely fate until he walks into a small pub and meets long-haired,
tattooed, bartender, Furious Barkley. Before he can even understand why, Syn's feeling things he barely recognizes: passion, yearning, cravings; and if the dark, lustful gazes are anything to go by, Furious might be feeling the same things for him.

Just one thing needs to happen before Furi and Syn can give each other what’s been missing from their lives for so long...
Syn needs to allow happiness into his world and Furi needs to learn to open his heart and trust again.

God, Day, Ronowski, and Johnson are still as entertaining as ever...

You'll swoon over God's massive take-charge attitude...

You'll laugh hysterically at Day's never-ending wit...

You'll fall in love with Furious' mysterious, sexy demeanor...

and...

You'll embrace Syn...
Point is, she writes amazing characters, great stories and thoroughly entertaining situations... Not to mention HOT HOT HOT!

A.E. Via will give ONE reader a chance to win ANY of her books!!!! But first, I had the awesome honor of interviewing the talented and fabulous author!

***INTERVIEW***

Your character names! Oh My GOD, literally! LOL. Where do you come up with them?

I really just come up with them off the top of my head. I haven’t heard of anyone named Leonidis or Cashel… or Furious. I try to keep things unique. I was skeptical that God’s name wouldn’t go over very well, but I felt once the reader really got into the book and his character… it would get easier and they’d get used to it. For the most part, I think people enjoyed it.

You write sex, hot , steamy, really great sex. A lot of people hate writing it but are good at it. Others love writing it and are good at it... (Some bad but whatever) Where do you fall in this? Do you enjoy it?

The sex scenes are my favorite to write. *winking* I’m constantly looking for inspiration to create different scenes. Sexier positions, dirtier talk – not the typical stuff. I find it odd that a romance writer wouldn’t like writing the lovemaking scenes. It really can make or break the book. Romance novels don’t only need a strong plot, it needs good romance, strong sexual chemistry between the MCs to make it great.

In Nothing Special and Embracing his Syn, they center around tough, rough, cops. Do you come from a cop background or was this all researched?

I have a Bachelor’s in criminal justice. I’ve always been fascinated with the law. But, I still have to do a lot of research for my writing. I don’t have any family that’s in law enforcement, but we are a military family, so Blue Moon II was easier on me. Even if I had law enforcement background, research is always needed when writing.

Big menage fan here, fyi. You Can See Me was my first book of yours I read actually. It was awesome to see Prescott mentioned in the other books. Will there be anymore menage's from you?

I’m glad you liked that book. Honestly, YCSM wasn’t supposed to be a ménage. *laughing*. Blair was supposed to be a one-night stand for Prescott before Rick came back. But, when I started writing Blair, I fell in love with him and didn’t want to lose him. And if I felt that way about him, I figured my readers would too. Hence … a threesome.

Blue Moon has many POV's in it. You follow Angel, Max, Ryker, Bass and even Angel's father. That's not something authors successfully pull off, yet you did. How did you not get confused and what's the secret to it's success?

I love this question. Thank you. As an avid MM reader, I’ve found that I prefer to have multiple POVs in stories. I want to see the story from different aspects. Makes it exciting. Typically, a reader only has two MCs – one couple to follow. But in BM I found that the supporting characters were too important not to hear what they had to say. And I thought my readers would appreciate that. As long as there’s no head-hopping within the scene, it should be easy for the reader to follow. BMII is the same way. I’m hearing that it went over very well. Wasn’t confusing at all to follow multiple characters.

Have you ever wanted to collaborate with another author? If so, care to mention them?

Yes! Would absolutely love to do that. I’m really easy to work with too. *smiling* I have been asked to participate in an anthology with a few authors, but can’t reveal the specific on that project just yet.
But in the future, I wouldn’t mind working on something with Sandrine Gasq-Dion, G.A. Hauser – who wrote most of the MM stories that made me fall in love with this genre. Kade Boehme, River Jaymes, Damon Suede….just to name a few. There’s tons more!

What's a motto you either use, or one you relate to when it comes to you and your writing?

‘Make it original.’ I chant this a lot when I’m writing. There are so many MM books, in a vast array of categories. Something has to set one author’s books apart from another’s. I never want my stories compared to another author’s, pointing out the similarities. No way.

If I were to walk into your writing cave right now, what would it look like?

*laughing* It would look like a bedroom, because that’s where I write. I have a huge chair, that’s extremely comfortable and is right by the window. I can sit for hours and write in that chair. A while back I put a mini fridge and a Keurig in my room, so I have little reason to leave when I’m in the zone.

What are you working on right now?

Right now I’m working on the next installment in the Nothing Special series. The story of Detective Ruxsberg and Detective Green. See more description on my website.

How can fans follow you through Social Media?

On my website are all of my links to follow me or friend me, etc.
