GRL Spotlight: Morgan Brice

GayRomLit or as some refer to it as GRL truly is the must-attend event for people who create and celebrate LGBT romance. For those who are unfamiliar with what GRL is I can try and summarize it. Every year in October (this year it’s the 17th to the 20th with pre-events on the 16th) the LGBT community consisting of authors, narrators, readers, and professionals gather to share in their love of LGBT romance. There are signings, author lounges, many events, spotlights, it really is hours of fun.
The location changes every year and on the opening night of each year the spot for the next year  is announced. During this time at GRL there are two signings. One for Registered Authors and one for Featured Authors.
At these signings you can go to the authors’ tables, talk, have them sign swag they have, books you’ve brought, pick up pre-orders, and they will even sign something you brought from home.
Lounges are set up as well these are outside the signing times. Registered authors have one and featured have two lounges.
There will also be spotlights with readings, Q&A’s and so much more.
Now until October 14th Diverse Reader is spotlighting authors that will be at this years GRL. And if you want to know more about it simply head over to the site by clicking here:

Now for our Spotlight Author of the day!

Hi everyone! I’m Morgan Brice (and Gail Z. Martin). I’m thrilled to be returning to GRL as a Featured Author, and so excited to see everyone again!

As Morgan Brice, I write urban fantasy MM paranormal romance with lots of spooky chills and sexy thrills. As Gail Z. Martin, I write epic fantasy, urban fantasy and steampunk—satisfying supernatural suspense. All of my urban fantasy series (as Morgan or Gail) have crossovers, so the characters know each other and show up in each other’s books!

This is only my second time at GRL, so there are a lot of folks I haven’t met yet, but I’m looking forward to getting to know new people and meeting up with the readers and authors I met last year. I’m easy to find—I’ll be wearing an insanely sparkly pink scarf! And if you’re like me and a little nervous about finding people on the first night, I’m coordinating the Early Bird Gathering at the main hotel bar on Tuesday night after 8 pm. I’ll have special early bird swag, too, so find me and ask for some! I’m also a HUGE fan of the TV show Supernatural, so like last year, I’ll be hosting a get-together for Supernatural fans with SPN swag, trivia questions, and a very special drawing/giveaway. I’ll pick a time once the schedule is finalized and announce it on the GRL Facebook page. Oh, and I also give ‘mom hugs’, so if you need a hug, just ask!

I’ll be signing with the Featured Authors on Saturday from 10 am - noon. You can find my Author Spotlight on Friday from 2:30-3:20. My Author Lounge times are Thursday from 4-4:45 and Friday from 4-4:45 I’ll have a raffle basket full of cool stuff for one lucky winner, so be sure to come by my table for a chance to win!

Here’s a quick look at the three Morgan Brice series I’ll have with me at GRL.

Witchbane: Seth Tanner uncovers a cycle of ritual killings that feeds the power of a dark warlock, and he's hell bent on stopping Jackson Malone from becoming the next victim. He's used to risking his neck. He never intended to risk his heart. (Books in the series so far are Witchbane, Burn, Dark Rivers, Flame and Ash) Here’s the Kindle link for Witchbane: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079Y6L9JZ

Badlands: Psychic medium Simon Kincaide runs a boardwalk shop where he leads ghost tours & does seances and private psychic readings. But when jaded cop Vic D'Amato asks for his help on a case, Simon can't say no, even if it costs him his life and heart. (Books in the series so far are Badlands, Lucky Town, The Rising) Here’s the Kindle link for Badlands: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F25ZM1S

Treasure Trail: (First in the series) Erik Mitchell traveled the world uncovering art fraud and relic theft, but a sting goes wrong and Erik decides to buy an antique shop in scenic Cape May, NJ, rebuild his life, and nurse his broken heart. Undercover Newark cop Ben Nolan went down in a hail of bullets when a bust went sideways and heads to Cape May to reinvent himself. When a missing antique from a cursed hotel plunges Ben and Erik into danger, it’s clear someone wants secrets to stay buried—and is willing to add Ben and Erik to the death toll to keep the past hidden. Here’s the Kindle link for Treasure Trail: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TJLJDL5

I’ll also have limited copies of the Gail Z. Martin books that crossover with my Morgan Brice series, including Deadly Curiosities, Vendetta, Tangled Web, Inheritance, Sons of Darkness, and Spells Salt & Steel.

What’s new? Flame and Ash (in the Witchbane series) and Treasure Trail are my newest Morgan Brice books, and Inheritance is the newest Gail Z. Martin book.
