“Did you find my list on the entry table?”

Misha looked over the back of the couch and saw the paper sitting there. “I see it now, Sir.”

“Those are the things I expect to be done while I’m gone, okay?”

“I understand, Sir. Thank you.” Misha didn’t always need rules and lists from Geoff, but it did make him feel like Geoff was still taking care of him, still there with him, when he gave him a list of rules to follow while he was away. They’d figured that out pretty quickly, so it had become a thing his Sir made sure to do and Misha was always grateful.

“No need for thanks. I love you, and I will always take care of you when you need me.”

Misha felt himself blush over Sir’s words. It was silly, but when he got all squishy and mushy, Misha just melted.

They chatted about Geoff’s meetings the next day while Misha ate his dinner. He put his Bluetooth in so he could clean up his mess after he was done while they talked. He didn’t want to hang up to clean when he could be talking to Geoff.

“Do you have classes tomorrow?”

“I do,” Misha replied as he made his way up the stairs to their bedroom. He decided he’d rather study in their room than on the couch. “But only in the morning. Same for Wednesday as well. Thursday is my long day. I won’t be home until dinner time.” And, thankfully, no tutoring for the rest of the week.

“Are you in our room, boy?”

“Yeah, sitting on the couch made the house feel even more empty.”

“You want to feel close to me, my Misha? Are you missing me?” Geoff’s voice was smooth, the promise in his tone spreading heat over Misha’s skin.

“You shouldn’t tease me when you aren’t here to do anything, Sir.”

Geoff laughed. “Oh, but I can do anything I want to you.”

Misha whispered, “I wish,” wanting that in the moment more than anything.
