GRL Spotlight: Alexa Land

GayRomLit— or as some refer to it as GRL— truly is the must-attend event for people who create and celebrate LGBT romance. For those who are unfamiliar with what GRL is I can try and summarize it. Every year in October (this year it’s the 17^th to the 20^th with pre-events on the 16^th) the LGBT community consisting of authors, narrators, readers, and professionals gather to share in their love of LGBT romance. There are signings, author lounges, many events, spotlights, it really is hours of fun.

The location changes every year and on the opening night of each year the spot for the next year is announced. During this time at GRL there are two signings. One for Registered Authors and one for Featured Authors.

At these signings you can go to the authors’ tables, talk, have them sign swag they have, books you’ve brought, pick up pre-orders, and they will even sign something you brought from home.

Lounges are set up as well these are outside the signing times. Registered authors have one and featured have two lounges.

There will also be spotlights with readings, Q&A’s and so much more.

Now for our Spotlight Author of the day!

Thank you, Meredith and Diverse Reader, for hosting me. I’m looking forward to attending my fifth GRL. From the official meet and greets to just hanging out in the hotel bar talking to readers and fellow authors, it’s such a great time!

I’ll be featuring my contemporary Castaways Series at GRL, which is a spin-off of my Firsts and Forever Series. Castaways is set at a resort on Catalina island, and it’s as much about friends who become family as it is about falling in love.

I’ll also be bringing my paranormal California Obscura Series to GRL. This includes two of my older books, Feral and The Tinder Chronicles, both of which have been newly re-edited and reformatted into second editions for 2019. This series also includes my upcoming paranormal romance More Than This, which will be released in October, exact date TBA. Each book in the California Obscura Series is written as a stand-alone, but main characters from earlier books make cameo appearances in later volumes.
