Diverse Reader: GRL Author Spotlight: Taylor Rylan

GayRomLit— or as some refer to it as GRL— truly is the must-attend event for people who create and celebrate LGBT romance. For those who are unfamiliar with what GRL is I can try and summarize it. Every year in October (this year it’s the 17^th to the 20^th with pre-events on the 16^th) the LGBT community consisting of authors, narrators, readers, and professionals gather to share in their love of LGBT romance. There are signings, author lounges, many events, spotlights, it really is hours of fun.

The location changes every year and on the opening night of each year the spot for the next year is announced. During this time at GRL there are two signings. One for Registered Authors and one for Featured Authors.

At these signings you can go to the authors’ tables, talk, have them sign swag they have, books you’ve brought, pick up pre-orders, and they will even sign something you brought from home.

Lounges are set up as well these are outside the signing times. Registered authors have one and featured have two lounges.

There will also be spotlights with readings, Q&A’s and so much more.

Now for our Spotlight Author of the day!

This year at GRL I’ll be highlighting my Sulfur Springs series and they will be the only books I’ll have with me on site for purchase. Like my Men of Crooked Bend series, I planned for Sulfur Springs to be a trilogy but it’s up to five books with at least two more planned. Sulfur Springs takes readers off the ranch and we get to know the firefighters in the firehouse and the US Marshals in Jackson, as well as a cranky sheriff’s deputy and his sexy architect. It’s a series that has tropes such as age gap, slow burn, and second chance at love. It’s not quite as sweet and fluffy as my previous series, but the angst level is still on the lower side. All books will still have a HEA or HFN just because I can’t see my guys any other way.

Dalton Andrews has seen it all. After spending a little over ten years with the Denver PD, he’d had enough and joined Wildlife Services, not expecting it to be such an isolating career. When his job takes him on assignment to Crooked Bend, he jumps at the chance to work with actual people again when the town’s sheriff needs to hire a few more deputies. While at his new boss’ wedding reception, he unexpectedly meets a blue-eyed architect that makes his brain go fuzzy.

Collin McKenzie has trust issues. After countless bad experiences, culminating in spending over a year hidden in the closet by his ex, he decided enough was enough. He not only broke up with him, but he moved to a different state to start fresh. He loves working for the Welsh brothers and living in Wyoming puts him closer to his family.
