Review

What a way with words, so poetic. I love this style of writing. And when the story shifted in time, the sentences were still stunningly beautiful.

Meet James:  a writer and an editor; he has a disease and it’s breaking him. He lost a big part of one leg. Through his medical journey, he meets Jack.

Meet Jack: James partner and also his doctor, oh well first his doctor and later his partner.
He is an optimistic funny guy, I loved his humor and how he handled James, he could be humorous or straight honest, I adored his sarcastic side.

On James’s desk lies a part of a manuscript, delivered by an unknown. The manuscript is a story about two men from a whole other century. When he starts to read, the world seems to change around him, the atmosphere and tension got heavier, the creepy load palpable.
While reading, James recognizes parables and wants to know the truth.

James’s health is getting worse. When it’s all too much for him, Jack takes him to his house in Scotland.

Alternating between past and present the story reveals itself before our eyes and it’s one of a kind.

Magnificently written story, beautiful vocabulary, from the first to the last line it was a thoroughly worked out story. It was immensely captivating, all characters were engaging and well developed, with their own typical characteristics.

The highly erotic parts were so intense, just stunningly done!

The difference between past and present, and thereby, the historical and the contemporary language was more than excellent to read!!
The buildup is indescribable, it turned from a breeze into a dark thundering storm.
Overall an extraordinary read, highly poetic, scorching erotic and horrifically thrilling.
The last line electrified my brain.

Review

This series always takes my breath away. These authors pull all the emotions out of me. I can feel the fear, sadness, and despair of their characters. But in all this time, after all these books, I never wept more than I did for Shadow.

I was so angry at Gray for the longest time in this book. And the club. I raged as I read. So often I felt like screaming, "You don't deserve him." But this is K.A. Merikan we're talking about here! Vicious women they are (LOL)

There's a reason it's labeled horror and yep I was totally scared at parts. But let's talk more about Shadow. I loved him. His selflessness and need to love and touch made my heart ache. Has anyone ever loved me as much as Shadow loves Gray? No. He'd die for him, bleed, and suffer for him and he did all those things.

There's so much poignancy to this story for Gray's character and for life in general. How Shadow sees the world, his almost childlike outlook even jolted me out of my jaded and cynical existence. This one was my favorite of the four books and that's saying something since they are all amazing.

It is a story arc so start from book one. This series will take you on a dark journey, one will have you questioning everything. It will play with your mind and heart. But mostly it will leave you with a book hangover.

Saturday Author Spotlight: Nicholas Bella #Interview #Giveaway

I remember awhile back someone telling me I needed to read Nicholas Bella's New Haven Series. I chuckled because I LIVE in New Haven (a town in my state) I said I'd give it a shot. Of course it's nothing like the New Haven I live in but I never looked back after that. I was forever a Nicholas Bella fan.

Today it's awesome to have him here and have the chance to talk with him, take a look at some of his books, and of course he has a wonderful giveaway for you. So, put your feet up folks and enjoy.

Theoden: A New Haven Series Prequel

My name is Theoden, this is the story of my life. Apparently, there has been a huge demand for me to tell it. Normally, I do what I want, unless the command comes from my Sire, Ara. But, revealing the tale about how I became the powerful vampire Prince of the City is something I think I will enjoy telling. You'll see my first mission for the church, my first kill, the life-changing moment when I lost my virginity, and how I chose my first son, all of the things that mean something to me, that made me the vampire I am. So, sit back, and give me all of your attention, as I want your eyes on me. Now, let's begin.

Prepare to be entertained to new heights as Theoden delivers you a unique tale of his life from childhood to the vampire Master you know him to be.

Warning: This is a prequel to the highly erotic, extremely dark and twisted New Haven Series and the spin-off, Odin Chronicles. I can't stress enough how strong the sexual, violent, and adult content is in this book. It will steam up your glasses, and melt your contact lenses. The temperature in the room will rise to unbearable degrees. Pearls will be clutched and you may utter the words: "Oh my God" several times while reading. You have been warned. For mature readers only.

Chosen: Episode One~ The Demon Gate

"One minute, everything was normal for me, and the next, all hell breaks loose. "
I'm a cop with the Alandale City police force. I love my job, protecting the public and getting rid of scum was what made my day. Everything was going just fine until my lunch was interrupted by some rich, arrogant jerk in an Aston Martin who thought he could just speed past my squad car and get away with it. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I wrote Mr. Ledéo his speeding ticket, but after what happened to me, I wish I had just let him go. Maybe then, my world wouldn't have been turned upside down and inside out.

Warning: This serial contains strong adult content not meant for sensitive eyes. The novelettes in this serial will be filled with dark, twisted, raunchy and steamy scenes between powerful, sexy men that will either offend you or get ya revved up. This series will not be pulling any punches, and it won’t apologize for hurting your feelings, either. You’ll find no fluff and ruffles here. These demons play hard and they fight dirty. There are approximately 25100 words in this novelette.

There are currently nine episodes to this series

Circle of Darkness: Genesis Circle book 1
co-authored with Aimee Nicole Walker

There isn’t a monster D’Angelo Kumar can’t destroy or a crisis he can’t manage until he meets Angel Bai. The insane attraction he feels toward the sexy waiter is unwelcome because D’Angelo doesn’t have room in his life for relationships. A solitary path is the only option for a man like him, but fighting his growing feelings for Angel may be the first battle he can’t win.

Angel’s abilities extend beyond memorizing the menu at D’Angelo’s favorite Italian restaurant, but he knows better than to trust anyone with his secret. When a vision reveals that D’Angelo’s life is in danger, he will risk everything to save him. The only thing scarier than monsters and demons to Angel is never knowing D’Angelo’s touch.

To say the demon hunter is reluctant to form a partnership with the psychic is putting it mildly, but D’Angelo needs every advantage he can get when the world’s very existence is threatened. As darkness looms nearer, D’Angelo and Angel’s unexplainable connection grows stronger. For a chance at happiness, the two men will need to call upon unlikely allies for an epic showdown between good and evil.

Sexy, witty, and action-packed, Circle of Darkness is the first book in the Genesis Circle paranormal romance series by Nicholas Bella and Aimee Nicole Walker. This book contains sexually explicit material and is intended for adults 18 and older

Origins: Cobra: The Gay Vigilante~ book 1

"He saw me as his hero, but I'm nobody's hero."

At least that's what I tell myself. My name is Eric Cayden, and I'm a man with some pretty extraordinary abilities. It's because I have these superhuman powers, my best friend, Jordan, sees me as hero material. I'm not the only one in the world with special abilities, of course. Some people have already stepped up to the plate and made themselves martyrs, but I'm not about self-sacrificing for the greater good and all that crap. Not anymore. I've already bled for my country. Now, I just want to live a normal life in the shadows and make a lot of money doing odd jobs on the side. Is that too much to ask? Well, according to my friend, Jordan, I'm destined to be something better than a glorified errand boy. He thinks I have a higher calling. He thinks I can be a hero. Well, I'm not too sure about the hero part, but I do hate it when bad people get away with doing evil things. So maybe, just maybe Jordan has a point. We'll see, won't we?

Warning: This is a novelette serial series that will be coming at you fully loaded with hot, gay sex. Yes, there will be all kinds of bodily fluids splashing and squirting in all directions with each episode. Expect body parts to be sliced, diced, gouged, and even ripped apart because I don't half step. This is a series intended for adults only, who want a superhero that loves to play dirty... and by dirty, I mean grimy as hell.

There is currently five books in this series

Dominion~ Gods and Slaves Series

"Blood, lusts, and passion fuel the gods."
In a world controlled by the Celestial Gods of Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water, the life of a slave is inconsequential. A relationship between the god and human, outside of instant gratification, is strictly forbidden. To the gods, all humans exist to serve them, but only those who have influence over the masses have been spared a certain degradation of servitude as long as they carry out the wishes of the gods.
When Mateo is captured by bandits and taken into slavery. He has no idea what his future holds, but he knows it can't be good. He is from the badlands, places so far removed from the gods’ temples, that they are practically barren. The people of the celestial cities look upon them as blasphemers, and less than human. He is poor, he has no influence, no education, and no skills that he could use to elevate himself to a status deserving of the gods' mercy. So, when he's sold off to a Ludus to be trained as a gladiator if he survives the Trial of Fate, his curse and his hope for salvation become unified. Either in life of death, he will pay tribute to the gods and respect their Dominion.
Eloy is the powerful and merciless God of Fire and like the flames he controls, his temper and desires run just as hot bordering on insatiable. When he sets his eyes on Mateo for the first time, he becomes intrigued. Watching the human fight so bravely, ignited his passion in an intensity that can only be matched by his lust for blood and entertainment. Being a god with millions of humans worshiping him, he’s used to getting exactly what he wants and right now, he wants Mateo.

WARNING: This novella series is not for sensitive eyes, as it is brutal, dark, raunchy, and in your face with its lewd, crude, and rude attitude. I'm talking no-holds-barred bloody battles and dirty, wet, messy sex with hot, animalistic men who have no inhibitions. They take what they want when they want it, and they don’t have to be nice about it. This series is intended for very mature readers who are looking for something out of this world to read.

Interview

It is so awesome to have you here today. I am a huge fan of yours as well as an admirer. I just want to talk to you a bit, poke inside that head of yours, see what I can conjure up.

I’m very honored. Thank you for having me. I’m happy to be here.

First, I would love to know where the idea for your New Haven Series came from?

I have always had a love for vampires, werewolves, and other paranormal creatures. I find them fascinating. I had wanted to read about a rebel going against them, but he was captured and turned. I wanted to see his struggles being something he hated. Would the hero become the villain? That’s how I came up with the New Haven Series and from there, it just morphed into this grand tale that’s ever evolving. A dark, steamy paranormal political drama that’s loaded with action, sex, murder, plotting, deceit, and lots of fun. It almost has a mind of its own now. LOL.

Obviously, there’s a lot of sex in your books what I want to know is it difficult to write it and if not what would you say is the hardest thing to write for you?

I really don’t have any difficulty writing any scenes. For me, everything plays out in my mind like a movie. I can see the characters together and how they mingle. It’s the same with my action scenes, I see it and the words just flow.

You speak openly about authors in this community writing what they love without shame. It’s really wonderful. What would you say to new authors just getting out there questioning their books?

Often times, I see authors say they think their books suck, they doubt themselves and their work. I’ve never felt that way about my books. I think that’s because I’m always happy with what I’ve written because it’s the story I’ve wanted to read. I got to experience the adventure that I wanted to and fell in love with the characters. So, when I hit publish, I’m thrilled with what’s been written and I just hope others enjoy it to. So, that’s my advice to anyone. Write the book YOU want to read. Not what you think others want to read. You can’t please every reader and trying to write a book that you think would will only kill your creativity and give you that doubt. Write what you love and the story you want to read.

You co-author with Aimee Nicole Walker. Is she the first author you’ve co-wrote with and how do you make it work so seamlessly?

Aimee is amazing. Yes, she’s the first author I’ve partnered with. We both have the same work ethic for one. We are serious about what we do. We know this is a business, but it is also our passion. We eat, sleep, dream stories. We also think alike a lot, so when we’re writing, our imaginations flow and it’s just a lot of fun to build on what each other creates. We have a respect for each other and what we each contribute, and no egos.

Not that I EVER want it, but is there an end to Theoden and his boys? Does this series have an end game?

I do see an end game, but a lot of things will be going down before that happens. Then there are always prequels I can write. I have one planned for Deacon next. He’s really speaking to me.

Let’s say your Demon Gates series got picked up by HBO to run like Game of Thrones. Cast your characters for us.

Wow, that would be amazing, and a dream come true, not to mention great entertainment. Let me try to guess who could play the characters. It is hard to get an exact look from how I see the characters in my mind to the list of available actors. But I’ll give it a shot. Brian – Jencarlos Canela. Raphael – Alex Pettyfer, and for Andre – Lance Gross. Adriel will be difficult, because he is half demon and has a certain kind of supernatural look to him. Think Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7.

Can you tell us what you’re currently working on or your future projects?

I have so many things on my plate. I’m currently writing four series and a trilogy. Destiny: Gods and Slaves will be released soon. Circle of Trust: Genesis Circle book two with Aimee will also be released soon. Then I have Chaos: Demon Gate - Season Two premiere, Cobra: The Vigilante, and Odin Chronicles. I also have plans to write a Mpreg book and Deacon’s Prequel. I have plenty other ideas as well. My mind is constantly coming up with stories to keep me busy.

What is the number one emotion you want to invoke from a reader?

Hmm, I’d want to be able to invoke plenty of emotions, but one I’d zero in on is euphoria. That feeling you get when you’ve experience something out of this world. That’s what I hope my books give readers.
