Synopsis

This book has been considerably extended since it was first published. (so all those readers who wanted more - here you are!)

Pia’s life needs a kick-start. She’s tired of going home to an empty house, fed up with her job and frustrated that chocolate is her only love interest. If men can have sex just for fun, why can’t she?

After a bad day at work, her mind is made up. There’s a guy waiting for her if she can just force her feet to make that trek to room 210. But all the way there, she’s fraught with indecision. Is she really ready to say bye bye to good girl Pia? Because once she crosses the threshold, there’ll be no turning back. And when she discovers what awaits her, she knows she should have been careful what she wished for!

Connor and Espen want a third person in their lives but don’t seem to be having much luck finding the right lover until Pia comes along, but when she’s gone in the morning, they don’t know what they’ve done wrong and if they don’t know that, how can they put it right?

Review

I have always loved reading MMF books , especially ones that feature really good female characters. Pia is a woman who has fallen into a rut, both professionally and personally. She is tired of being alone and is ready to give no strings sex a chance.

When Pia checks into a hotel room expecting to see the man she came there for, she gets more than she bargained for. Once she meets bisexual couple Connor and Espen, her world will seriously get rocked.

I absolutely loved this initial meeting, Pia has no filter, is completely out of her depth and utterly charming. What’s a girl to do when one of her hottest fantasies lands in bed with her? Connor and Espen work so well as a couple, their banter with each other is very sexy and effortless.

This established couple is happy, but have wanted a third lover in their lives. When Pia quite literally falls into their bed, they know they’ve found what they’re looking for. The heat between the three is HOT, the chemistry is very instant and pretty intense. Often when you read a novella, you find yourself feeling like something is missing. That is definitely not the case with Starting Over. I truly enjoyed the humor, the honesty and the sexiness of this book. It’s a pretty quick, but satisfying read.

I especially loved how open Connor and Espen are to bringing Pia into a relationship with them…not into THEIR relationship, but establishing something new. That’s what really makes me happy with this book, their willingness to try being something new with the promise of honesty. Barbara Elsborg is quickly becoming a favorite of mine, her books do not disappoint.

Length: 82 pages

Synopsis

Xavier Knight was starting his life over. A new city. A new club. The past was gone, and he had everything to look forward to… except… love. That ship had sailed, never to return. He was too old to play the games or stack up the one night stands. Until, an old enemy’s son walked into his club and his heart.

Sebastian Brady was through. Through with hiding who he was. Through letting his brother officers dictate his life. And completely through, with his family telling him who he was. He turned his back on his badge and his family’s heritage in the Atlanta police force. But, he never imagined that he’d be serving drinks in a gay bar and working for the hottest silver fox he had ever seen in his life.

Xavier and Seb have a lot to learn from each other. Hopefully, their growing love will survive Xavier’s past, Seb’s family, and a host of characters with secrets of their own, who all work at the Knights Club.

Review

As a start for a series I think this was a nice read. There is a lot we get to know.
We meet all the side character but only briefly.

Xavier takes over the gay club from his friend, it's a whole new beginning.
Seb resigned  as a cop with no grievances at all, finally he can breathe freely... a whole new beginning.

When Seb starts his new job at Xavier’s club he couldn’t have guessed his homophobic and bigoted family issues would be give him a huge problem... but they do!

The concept is good, a gay bar, age gap, the promise of getting to know more about all the guys who work at the bar. I’m not sure how the sequels will be. I really hope there will be more about Xavier and Seb, so we get their whole picture. This was a short read and the writing is nice but for me, it shortens a bit of the development. It could've been more deepened and wider. I do hope a sequel will pick this up.
Overall it was a kind story with some sharp edges. It has a nice appearance.
