Excerpt
The ringing doorbell ended my marathon. Pissed that the goddess Jane Fonda would have to wait until I dispatched my uninvited guest, I shoved off the covers and shuffled slowly to the front door as the bell dinged twice more. I hadn’t called for take-out, so I knew whoever was on the other side of the door was trouble. What I didn’t know was what brand of trouble was waiting for me. Throwing the door open, I saw a clean-shaven, yet angry version of myself. Memphis was the last person I wanted to see today. Well, he and my mother were tied for that distinction. They were both the last people I wanted to see today. I may have lucked out with Memphis. It was so much easier to deal with anger over tears. “Memphis, what can I do for you?” “You mean aside from providing proof of life?”My brother pushed past me with a sigh. “Jesus Christ, Cairo! What the hell is going on here?”Obviously, Memphis had found my leaning tower of pizza boxes in the living room. At last count there were thirteen boxes in the stack. Lucky number thirteen. Whoops… “You got your proof of life. Here I am.”I threw my arms wide to emphasize the point. “You call this life?”Memphis echoed my movement. “Empty pizza boxes and greasy fast food sacks? Your phone shoved in between cushions of the couch?”He held the phone up like he’d just discovered a lost treasure. Which it was, but not the kind that would land in the Vanderbilt Wing. That must mean the hot wings made it into the fridge. Joy! “I’m sorry you disapprove. You’re not exactly turning the world on with your smile.”A cheap shot, but I wasn’t the one who invited him here. He showed up on his own.

Synopsis

Psychic, Tennyson Grimm, was kicked out of his house and disowned by his religious parents when he came out to them as gay and psychic. The last thing Tennyson’s father said before the teenager boarded a Greyhound bus to Boston was that his son was dead to him. Flash forward thirteen years later, Tennyson couldn’t have been more surprised when he woke to find the newly dead spirit of his father sitting on the end of his bed. David Grimm had one request of his estranged son. Go to Kansas and reunite with his mother.
Cold Case Detective, Ronan O’Mara, was all for this family reunion. Still recovering from injuries suffered during his last criminal investigation, he figures they’ll fly to Kansas, bury Tennyson’s father, and the hatchet with Kaye Grimm, then come back to Boston in time to plan their upcoming wedding.
When the Union Chapel Sheriff comes to Tennyson and Ronan with a years-old cold case he’d like them to look into, the Boston-based duo can’t turn down taking a peek at the case file. Tennyson is easily able to figure out whodunit, but the sheriff is leery to believe in his gift, bringing old prejudices back to life, and leaving Ronan to hunt for physical evidence the killer left behind.
Will Ronan be able to solve the cold case and help Tennyson resolve the decade-old feud with his mother? Or will the tornado, with its sights set on the tiny town of Union Chapel, Kansas, make the other questions moot?

Review

I love this series and I absolutely Love Ten and Ronan! This is the story I was waiting for, going back home to Tennyson’s past.

Ten was kicked out of his home when his religious parents found out he was not only gay, but a psychic as well. Ten communicates with the dead and wakes to find his dead father’s spirit sitting on his bed. When his dad requests that Ten go home to Kansas and reconcile with his mother, Ten can’t refuse. With his partner in work and life, Ronan, by his side, they head to Kansas. As always, the dead are waiting to tell Ten their stories and to seek his help. They’re asked by a local sheriff who has little belief in Ten’s abilities to solve a cold case. These two are faced with spirits, disbelieving sheriffs, old family feuds and now...a massive tornado. For Ten and Ronan, life is never boring.

As I stated above, I love this series! This book may be my favorite so far. Ronan and Ten work so well together and Ronan’s absolute faith in Ten and his abilities is inspiring. These guys and all the secondary characters, people who are their family...are special. If you haven’t read this series, start with book 1 and give them a try. They’re, full of love, mysteries, humor and compassion. Truly a  wonderful series that’s just has a little something different to offer.

Love these books!

Synopsis

When the spirit of a young male prostitute comes to psychic Tennyson Grimm asking him to find the john who brutally murdered him, Tennyson can’t say no. Only able to communicate through the use of images, rather than words, getting any information out of the young man is frustrating and slow going.

Cold Case Detective Ronan O’Mara has been on a roll solving cases since he and Tennyson last teamed up to solve the Michael Frye case. Unfortunately, the red-hot romance that had blossomed between them during that investigation is now off in a ditch, thanks to Ronan’s self-confessed pigheadedness.

Agreeing to work together despite the rift in their relationship, Tennyson and Ronan discover they are in for more than they bargained for when more victims start to reveal themselves to Tennyson.

Realizing they might have a serial killer on their hands, the two men work tirelessly to stop this madman from killing again, but when the killer targets the son of a prominent member of the Boston Police Department, can Ronan and Tennyson save him before it’s too late?

Review

Cold Case Detective Ronan O’Mara and psychic Tennyson Grimm are back and even better than last time. This time, Ro and Ten have some work to do on fixing some personal things between them. That will have to take a back seat though when the spirit of a young male prostitute appears to Ten asking for help. Ronan and Ten will work the case and their relationship together, just as they do best. The case is bigger than either man could have guessed and will make them both ask tough questions to each other and to themselves. Luckily their friends that are really their family, are always there to help and lend a hand and a psychic connection when necessary.

I absolutely loved Dead Speak, book one in this series and was so excited to read this one! I have to say, I couldn’t put this down! It’s my new favorite in the series and left me wanting more. This book is filled with mystery, drama, love and friendship....all with a backdrop from beyond! I cannot wait for the next book to come out, we are left with a bit of a cliffhanger. I hope everyone gives these books a read, they really are great and something a little different! I think Pandora Pine has such a strong voice in these stories and I’m loving it.

Synopsis

Demoted to the cold case squad after shooting a suspect in the line of duty, Detective Ronan O’Mara knows that his career with the Boston Police Department is hanging by a thread. His first assignment is the case of Michael Frye, a five-year-old boy who has been missing for seven years. With no new leads or witnesses to interview, Ronan has to start from scratch to solve this mystery. When he sees a handsome local psychic on television, Ronan figures he’s got nothing to lose in enlisting the man’s help to find Michael.

Psychic Tennyson Grimm is riding high after helping South Shore cops find a missing child. He’s even being courted by the Reality Show Network about a program showcasing his abilities. He has no idea that his midday appointment with a customer, who instead turns out to be a police detective, is going to change the course of his life and his career.

With the blessing of the BPD, which badly needs an image make-over, Ronan is allowed to bring Tennyson in to assist with the Frye case. Being thrown together in front of cameras is never easy, but add in an emotional missing person’s investigation, a tight-lipped spirit, and a cop who’s a skeptic, and it definitely puts a strain on both men and their working relationship.
When the child’s body is found, the work to identify his killer begins. As Ronan and Tennyson get closer to solving the case, the initial attraction they feel for one another explodes into a passion neither man can contain.

Will working together to bring Michael’s killer to justice seal their fledgling bond, or will unexpected revelations in the case tear them apart forever?

Dead Speak is Book One of the Cold Case Psychic Series. Book Two, Dead Reckoning, and Book Three, Dead Silent, will be available in the coming months.

Review

I loved this book! We have a man who has lost his belief in everything and a man who believes in everything! Together, they compliment each other so beautifully!

Ronan is a divorced detective who has been demoted to cold case work. Out of desperation, he reaches out to a psychic to help him find a missing boy. He doesn’t really believe, but quickly sees and feels things he can’t explain.

Tennyson came into his gift as he hit puberty, he’d also realized he was gay around the same time. His uber religious family don’t approve of either thing. Ten leaves Home after High School and makes a new family and life in Salem, Massachusetts. The only thing missing is love.

When Ro and Ten meet, I was so excited by their chemistry! This story has some tough things to read, anytime you deal with crimes against children...it’s heartbreaking. Ms. Pine does this with respect and compassion, exactly as it should be handled. I was so into this book throughout the whole story! I went back and bought book 0 and have pre-ordered book 2! Clearly, I highly recommend this book!

It’s soooo good!!!
