Interview Fun With~ Brittany Cournoyer

Diverse Reader is happy to introduce a new segment to the blog. For the next few months we have a bunch of fun and random interviews with authors, promoters, cover artists, editors, so many people who are a part of the LGBTQA+ community and bring amazing books to life. It takes a village to bring a book to publication so I thought it would be fun to ask a bunch of  random questions and lighten things up and you can meet some people maybe you never have before or find out something about someone you know.

Interview 

1. Place you most want to travel? Greece! 

2. What is one language you wish you spoke and understood? Italian. It just always sounds sexy. 

3. If Voldemort offered you a hug, would you take it? Sure! I’m Slytherin house. 

4. What is a show that was cancelled or just off the air you wish would come back? A show called Perception. The main character was a neuroscientist with schizophrenia, and he used his hallucinations to solve cases. It only lasted a few seasons but I loved it. 

5. If you could have one superpower what would it be? To read minds. 

6. What is the fastest speed you’ve ever traveled in a car? About 100 mph driving down the interstate. 

7. Who was your childhood crush and who is your adult crush now? For my childhood it was a toss up between Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Devon Sawa. Now it’s Jeff Goldblum 

8. Would you give up the ability to see if it would mean you could talk to your dog and all animals forever? Probably not. Too many amazing things to see, and with the way Delilah looks at me sometimes, I don’t think I want to know what she’s thinking. 

9. What is your least favorite condiment? Mustard 

10. Last movie you saw in the theater? Like a Boss

About the Author

Brittany was born in a small town in Alabama and moved to Indiana when she was thirteen years old. She currently resides there and works as an operator at a local hospital. When she isn't working, she loves to spend her free time writing stories, playing with her puppy, Delilah, watching television, and spending time with loved ones.

Ezra and Roe made a promise when they were seventeen, “we’ll write, call and stay in contact and then I’ll return to you.”

That was the plan, but it all worked out completely differently. With disastrous results.

Now, after more than twenty years later Ezra is back and there is so much anger.

Where Ezra came from money Roe had none. Now Roe is a psychologist and Ezra is still working for all the glitter money gives.

Hate is what Roe feels, during all these years he never heard from Ezra.

Ezra doesn’t understand Roe’s stand and is determined to get to know why Roe stopped returning his letters.

There are secrets, miscommunications, misunderstandings,  and hurt.

Life hasn’t been easy for either of them. Along this road, we get to know what both men have been through and it wasn’t easy.

Mountains of hurt, sorrow, manipulation, distrust are taken and the outcome isn’t even sure. They belong together that was clear for everyone, it lasted a long time until they understood it themselves, it wasn’t a smooth road. Thank goodness for good friends and dedicated family members. I want to ignore the family who did so so wrong, I just can’t!

An amazingly captivating story, beautifully written, well thought out. The hurt felt awful and real, the love survived every bump, the whole journey felt honest, integer, and made me get involved from the first page. Thank goodness for second chances, both men deserved it.
