Book: Crocuta Crocuta
Series: Bound Gods #5
Self Published

Synopsis

For a god, what could be closer to heaven than living in a safe haven like Sanctuary, with an endless supply of ambrosia, delivered by the beautiful bodies of the Doxies in Alton’s harem?

But unlike the majority of the gods in Sanctuary who are less than human, Cerberus isn’t exotic or fantastical. His appearance, his…habits…have become the horror stories whispered on the lips of Doxies.

And while Cerberus might be immortal, his pride is not indestructible. Seeing the love of a Doxie for a monster like the Chimera, shatters it.

A chance encounter with an undocumented Doxie named Owen begins to transform Cerberus’s life. At least until Alton removes Owen from Cerberus’s care, banning the god from training the boy—to protect him from Cerberus’s animal nature.

In reality, Alton's motives are far more frightening. And the truth could kill Cerberus and Owen both.

Review

This is book five in Adrienne Wilder’s Bound Gods Series. Though this one steps away from the MC’s of books 1-4, it’s not a standalone. Cerberus is a God we have followed as a secondary in the last books. We are following a path and a story. All of these are important and must be read in order.

I welcomed Cerberus’s story. I was always curious and intrigued with the half man half hyena. He’s admittedly unattractive. Anyone who meets him will agree he’s hideous. He’s rough, and more beast than man. But he feels and he yearns for a doxie of his own and not one forced to serve him; one who wants him.

One night when Cerberus goes out to buy a prostitute he meets Owen. He saves Owen. He wants Owen. Here’s why Adrienne is a wonderful writer. Owen fears Cerberus and thinks he’s disgusting and terrifying. I thought he’d look at Cerberus and be all, “I see the man, the beautiful man, I’m not like everyone else…” But no. He runs. He does find him unpleasant. This is interesting because we know, as the reader, that he must be truly hideous yet you know he’s going to have love. Maybe not right away but it will happen. And this is why Owen is such an awesome character. He craves Cerberus. Partly for ambrosia but their journey is animalistic, pure, raw, and full of flaws. Neither is perfect. Both are ugly in their own way and see passed all of that.

Like the other books, it is dark erotica. There’s Gods, Monsters, and what you may see as non-con/ dub-con. But since we follow this world for five books we understand how things work. You will be confused if you start with this book.

Wonderful addition! Highly recommend this series.

Synopsis

Claude Galen was brought into this world to train slaves, not to want them.

When his latest victim, a twenty-one-year-old boy named Tristan Kade, begins to see Claude for who he truly is, only one thing can be done to stop Tristan from escaping: punish him.

Trapped in a padded white room with no windows or doors, all Tristan can do to stay alive in this world is to obey Professor Galen.

Submit to him.

Yield. Break.

But what happens when Tristan's body is trained to work against him? When he starts to crave the pleasure instead of fear it? When he begins to see the man behind the monster?

Warning: This story is DARK. It is not intended for those who are seeking a happily ever after. This psychological, erotic MM thriller is meant for those who enjoy the darker side of life. It is NOT a romance and it contains graphic scenes of sexual torture in which some may find upsetting. Other possible triggers include abduction, torture, non con, manipulation, and enslavement. Please consider these warnings before entering the professor's world.

Review

Okay, let's talk about this book! Katze Snow and Susanna Hays warn us that this is not a love story and she is right! It is, however, a story of want, greed, and desire. This book is a psychological, erotic thriller. I like to step into the dark every now and then and this book definitely delivers.

Professor Claude Galen specializes in psychological science, but we soon learn that his specialties run much deeper than that. His focus is on the malleability theory at a University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He has been "monitoring" a potential "subject" Tristan Kade from Wyoming and has invited him to Edinburgh to enroll in the University.

Tristan Kade is a 21-year-old gamer, he runs a gaming channel with his best friend Jake. Tristan was kicked out of his parent's house at 13 when they discovered he was gay. No one in Tristan's life, including Jake and his mom who took Tristan in, know his secret. When Tristan is invited to Edinburgh to tour the University he seems much more interested in using the trip as a way to go to a large gaming con.

When Tristan meets with Professor Galen, he is intrigued and definitely attracted to the older professor. Tristan does seem to do everything to make a poor impression on the professor. What Tristan is unaware of is that Claude has chosen him personally, that Claude wants only him for his program. After the tour and interview, Tristan lets Claude know he'll think things over. When Tristan declines Claude's offer, plan B is put into effect.

Tristan is kidnapped and put through deprivation torture only to be "rescued" by Claude. As the two become friendly, and the attraction grows, Tristan thinks he's safe and that he's falling for Claude. Things start to go horribly wrong when Tristan discovers that his "hero" is really his "monster"
We learn a lot about why Claude is the way he is and Tristan even begins to care for him again. Unfortunately, Claude hurts Tristan too many times and finally seems to break Tristan. Finally, Tristan is able to escape his prison....or is he?

This book was a dark read, but it was a really good read. It's most definitely a thriller and there are some cringe worthy moments. If you're in the mood for something a little different and a little darker, I'd definitely recommend reading this. Katze Snow and Susanna Hays do an excellent job of making you question just how much the human mind and body can handle. The book, while dark is not gratuitous or over the top. I was curled up with my blanket and enjoyed the ride.

Review

Enrapture: Noah's Tryst is book two in Pierce Smith's Noah series. I absolutely recommend you read book one first. I do not feel this book is a standalone. This should be read in order.

Now, when we left Noah and Ethan in the first book they were dealing with some serious darkness. This left both characters in a whirlwind of emotions. This demon is all sorts of messed up. Yes, I say demon. I sort of see him that way. He has an insane sexual appetite. Both characters are so upset over it and at the end of their rope. When a friend of Noah's (Dan)  sends him to a paranormal expert (Uncle Marvel... and there's a thing there with Uncle and Dan mmhmm) Noah and Ethan are hopeful, if just for a moment.

There's a lot of intensity, suspense, and twists & turns in this book. Between steamy sex and wild weaving, this story has there's no chance of getting bored. Ethan and Noah have to navigate through all the chaos while not losing themselves and having it destroy their relationship.

It reads amazingly fast. There's so much happening you pretty much get lost in the intrigue, depravity, and thrill of this tale. It's got an addictive quality to it. The plot is interesting and creative and it's quite a fun ride.

Excerpt

After a couple of minutes, Ethan lifted him up holding his thighs, “You, and your insane needs,” Noah exclaimed feeling heated hands on his thighs. His legs were feeling the warmth of hell fire from over his pants. His hold was strong and in one push he slid him down and then up in his hand’s grip. Noah was hung in the air only supported through Ethan’s sturdy sizzling grip. He was giggling fun and lust, “What the hell are you doing, dick head?” but Ethan remained silent.

He was looking yearnfully to the erect dick before his face. He kissed it slanting his head and looking at Noah.
“It’s better to keep lust near your lips with a high head,” Ethan responded to him. Movement of his lips over Ethan’s dick was provoking him Noah giggled and then laughed.

About the Author

Pierce Smith, aka PS, has been writing since his childhood. He is a young, single, sexy author who lives alone in the countryside; somewhere on the Planet Earth. He always gets lost in a fantasy/paranormal world of ghosts, shape-shifters, aliens and more. Most of the time his imagination, intuitions, dreams, and his love for them, drift him away. He is into paranormal mysteries and hot erotic scenes. PS is a lover of food, coffee, and hot people. PS discovered that fantasizing is addictive and once you have a taste of it, you can't get rid of it. Thus, escaping from the reality, he writes few short stories. Sadly, most of them go unpublished. He is planning to include them on his blog and share them through his Newsletter. On the advice of his friends, PS started writing long epic novels and self-publishing. PS does his job seriously; does a hell lot of research before putting anything into his books, and interacts with the community around him, a lot. He enjoys his characters (in every possible ways) before putting any of them on the paper. He lusts after them so that his readers can experience the same intensity in the characters. He loves talking a lot and flirts openly, enjoying the company of others.
