Review

This was a dark, teeth grinding story written in a fascinating way.

Vincent is a Dust Hunter and in order to protect his family from danger and to eliminate vampires -as head case-, he trains the Hunters to do so.

Maddox is commander of Sanctuary Hope... one of the seven Sanctuary Cities.

Under siege by vampires, Vincent as a leader and is always at the front, and now after some devastating events Vincent sacrifices his own life for his people. He is dedicated to his people and will do everything for them... so he volunteers to be a slave to his sponsor.
Now Vincent has a master for life.... merciless, cruel and above all his enemy.

What follows is a power exchange with a lot of chemistry because Vincent himself is a strong leader and the only thing asked from him is full submission!

Maddox has one goal and a clear vision how to reach it.

After getting through some necessary introduction of characters I was into this story.

The main personalities were strong, intriguing and explosive together.
There were violent parts... omg they hurt like hell. It was a captivating story and like the title says, sinister.

With a dark cruel fantasy world as background it was a read that will hold your attention to the fullest. I just love the expansion of the fantasy in it. The brutal, vicious, and in their opinion, righteous way of justice was strongly put down. The danger was palpable and very well described.

The visual description of the surroundings and all the appearances, as well as the whole picture was very appealing.

I didn't realize it was part one of a series...this story is a great start, I'm very curious how this series will develop!

It could be made in a movie. Dark, violent, sexy and powerful, no fluffy story so be aware!

Blog Tour: Demons & Wolves Series by Katze Snow ~Guest Post #Giveaway

A few questions from some of my readers...

Do you have a character in your head that you have yet to write a story for?

Yes! So. Many. Characters.

In Dark Silence, there’s mention of a former ‘subject’ named Joshua. I really want to write his and Munro’s story. I’ve also always wanted to write about Captain Ashford and Tobias from Demons and Wolves. There’s definitely demand for them, and I included a teaser at the end of book 2, Within These Depths… You’re welcome!!

Who designed your book covers?

Jay Aheer designed every one of my covers. Isn’t she just amazing? I love ALL her work! From the moment I saw my debut novel, I knew I’d be working with Jay forever. My favourite is Broken in Silence. Thanks to Jay, I actually have a huge poster of BiS hanging up in my bedroom. I feel super fortunate to be working with her! Her art is like a beacon of light in my life, especially when everything turns dark.

Of your writing, who is your favorite book?

It’s always difficult for me to choose! But I think Within These Depths is my favourite. There is just so much going on in that book, from shifter slave auctions to exotic mermaids and four-headed demon hounds, that it has to be my favourite. In comparison to my others, Within These Depths has more of a fantasy feel to it, which being a total fantasy nerd myself, I love. Not to mention, I think my writing improved massively between books 1 and 2. I’m excited to see how I continue to grow as a writer!

Tell us something we don’t know about your heroes.

In Demons and Wolves, I have an anti-hero called Tannerian Wulfric. He’s by far the most complex of my characters and the surprising thing from his past is that before he was ‘changed’, he had been a truly lovable noble who had loved his family dearly. His townspeople had looked up to him as the future heir of Wulfric Manor, he had many aristocratic suitors, a bright life ahead of him, and a compassionate nature that had shined so brightly. So I guess what I’m trying to say is that before Broken in Silence, Tanner had always been the good guy.

Now, however, vengeance is what makes him tick.

I really want to have my readers to ask themselves whether or not monsters or born, or created.

What are you working on now, and when can we expect it?

This will the first public announcement, yay!

I am currently working on a vampire x hunter novel with the expectation of releasing it mid-April. Bloodstream (Sinister Hunger Volume I) is dark, compelling, and gripping in a fascinating way. I am super excited about this release and I’m working with a fabulous team to make sure this book becomes the best it can be!

Broken In Silence

Tannerian Wulfric is a leaderóa strong alpha who bows to no-one, especially those who try to undermine his authority.

When an opportunity arises, he grabs it with both hands and lets nothing get in his way. Trouble is, his brother has been caught in the crossfire of glorious retribution, and Tanner is in need of assistance.

For many years, Alex Jonas has lived his life in peace. But when fate lands him in the hands of his ex-lover and alpha, he finds himself in the centre of a feud he never knew existed, and must immerse himself in ways he had never imagined. One chance encounter, one night, and everything comes crashing down around him. Alex must fight for his life while Tanner fights for one thing and one thing onlyóvengeance, which has never tasted sweeter.

Can Tanner avenge his familyís death without spilling more blood? Or will his inner demon tear apart everything he has worked for, and lose the man who owns his heart?

Within These Depths

Tanner is so close to his revenge that he can almost taste it. With an unusual brand of negotiation skills under his belt, he has everything he needs. Now all that stands between him and destroying Elijah Ravenhill is a dangerous mission into the depths of Hell. Accompanied by his guides, he will enter where loyalties and souls are tested, and few ever return.

Newly mated Alex just wants to keep his loved ones safe. In the sprawling grandeur of Wulfric Manor, he finally has his family under one roof, even if it may only be temporary, and his dreams of having something normal seem to be within reach. Yet whatís normal for the wolf is torture for the prey, and chaos descends on Alex with one mysterious phone call.

Can Alex have all he ever dreamed of without sacrificing his life? Will Tanner put an end to Elijah once and for all, or will his revenge go up in smoke within the fires of hell itself?

Warning: Within These Depths is the highly anticipated sequel to Broken in Silence: Demons and Wolves Series, and things are really heating up. This story is NOT a typical romance and it's not intended for those who seek a HEA. It cannot be read as a standalone.

Author Bio

Katze Snow never learned when to shut up. Food and coffee are what encourage Katze to function in a semi-normal, sort of socially acceptable way. Doses of sarcasm and sass are what she lives for, and her wolf, Kiba, who is Katze's little furbaby. She's been writing since she was a child, but finally published her debut novel, Alpha's Bane, in Autumn 2016.

While Katze also writes MF, MM is where her heart truly lies. Her writing is dark, gritty, and takes satire to a whole new level. Come and join her! But be warned: Katze likes her men dark, twisted and all kinds of messed up, and she hopes you do too.

When Katze's not writing, she's working for a top secret, underground organisation, or taming wolves. (Check out her furbaby, Kiba!)

Synopsis

Claude Galen was brought into this world to train slaves, not to want them.

When his latest victim, a twenty-one-year-old boy named Tristan Kade, begins to see Claude for who he truly is, only one thing can be done to stop Tristan from escaping: punish him.

Trapped in a padded white room with no windows or doors, all Tristan can do to stay alive in this world is to obey Professor Galen.

Submit to him.

Yield. Break.

But what happens when Tristan's body is trained to work against him? When he starts to crave the pleasure instead of fear it? When he begins to see the man behind the monster?

Warning: This story is DARK. It is not intended for those who are seeking a happily ever after. This psychological, erotic MM thriller is meant for those who enjoy the darker side of life. It is NOT a romance and it contains graphic scenes of sexual torture in which some may find upsetting. Other possible triggers include abduction, torture, non con, manipulation, and enslavement. Please consider these warnings before entering the professor's world.

Review

Okay, let's talk about this book! Katze Snow and Susanna Hays warn us that this is not a love story and she is right! It is, however, a story of want, greed, and desire. This book is a psychological, erotic thriller. I like to step into the dark every now and then and this book definitely delivers.

Professor Claude Galen specializes in psychological science, but we soon learn that his specialties run much deeper than that. His focus is on the malleability theory at a University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He has been "monitoring" a potential "subject" Tristan Kade from Wyoming and has invited him to Edinburgh to enroll in the University.

Tristan Kade is a 21-year-old gamer, he runs a gaming channel with his best friend Jake. Tristan was kicked out of his parent's house at 13 when they discovered he was gay. No one in Tristan's life, including Jake and his mom who took Tristan in, know his secret. When Tristan is invited to Edinburgh to tour the University he seems much more interested in using the trip as a way to go to a large gaming con.

When Tristan meets with Professor Galen, he is intrigued and definitely attracted to the older professor. Tristan does seem to do everything to make a poor impression on the professor. What Tristan is unaware of is that Claude has chosen him personally, that Claude wants only him for his program. After the tour and interview, Tristan lets Claude know he'll think things over. When Tristan declines Claude's offer, plan B is put into effect.

Tristan is kidnapped and put through deprivation torture only to be "rescued" by Claude. As the two become friendly, and the attraction grows, Tristan thinks he's safe and that he's falling for Claude. Things start to go horribly wrong when Tristan discovers that his "hero" is really his "monster"
We learn a lot about why Claude is the way he is and Tristan even begins to care for him again. Unfortunately, Claude hurts Tristan too many times and finally seems to break Tristan. Finally, Tristan is able to escape his prison....or is he?

This book was a dark read, but it was a really good read. It's most definitely a thriller and there are some cringe worthy moments. If you're in the mood for something a little different and a little darker, I'd definitely recommend reading this. Katze Snow and Susanna Hays do an excellent job of making you question just how much the human mind and body can handle. The book, while dark is not gratuitous or over the top. I was curled up with my blanket and enjoyed the ride.
