Synopsis

For a god, what could be closer to heaven than living in a safe haven like Sanctuary, with an endless supply of ambrosia, delivered by the beautiful bodies of the Doxies in Alton’s harem?

But unlike the majority of the gods in Sanctuary who are less than human, Cerberus isn’t exotic or fantastical. His appearance, his…habits…have become the horror stories whispered on the lips of Doxies.

And while Cerberus might be immortal, his pride is not indestructible. Seeing the love of a Doxie for a monster like the Chimera, shatters it.

A chance encounter with an undocumented Doxie named Owen begins to transform Cerberus’s life. At least until Alton removes Owen from Cerberus’s care, banning the god from training the boy—to protect him from Cerberus’s animal nature.

In reality, Alton's motives are far more frightening. And the truth could kill Cerberus and Owen both.

Review

This is book five in Adrienne Wilder’s Bound Gods Series. Though this one steps away from the MC’s of books 1-4, it’s not a standalone. Cerberus is a God we have followed as a secondary in the last books. We are following a path and a story. All of these are important and must be read in order.

I welcomed Cerberus’s story. I was always curious and intrigued with the half man half hyena. He’s admittedly unattractive. Anyone who meets him will agree he’s hideous. He’s rough, and more beast than man. But he feels and he yearns for a doxie of his own and not one forced to serve him; one who wants him.

One night when Cerberus goes out to buy a prostitute he meets Owen. He saves Owen. He wants Owen. Here’s why Adrienne is a wonderful writer. Owen fears Cerberus and thinks he’s disgusting and terrifying. I thought he’d look at Cerberus and be all, “I see the man, the beautiful man, I’m not like everyone else…” But no. He runs. He does find him unpleasant. This is interesting because we know, as the reader, that he must be truly hideous yet you know he’s going to have love. Maybe not right away but it will happen. And this is why Owen is such an awesome character. He craves Cerberus. Partly for ambrosia but their journey is animalistic, pure, raw, and full of flaws. Neither is perfect. Both are ugly in their own way and see passed all of that.

Like the other books, it is dark erotica. There’s Gods, Monsters, and what you may see as non-con/ dub-con. But since we follow this world for five books we understand how things work. You will be confused if you start with this book.

Wonderful addition! Highly recommend this series.

Synopsis

Leo promised to keep Aaron and Kaleb forever. Yet he’s left them with nothing more than a note with instructions to obey the commands of another god? A god who has the key to Kaleb’s collar. A god who will tell them nothing about what’s happened to Leo or where he’s gone.

Kaleb and Aaron both fear the worst. That Leo has not abandoned them, but left them because he won’t be coming back. Not because he doesn’t want to, but because he can’t.

Too many have died and the god-son is growing stronger. With no way for any god to track it, Leo has only one choice left. Fight fire with fire.

Or in this case Chimera against Chimera.

The problem is Leo has always maintained control of the beast within him. Using its natural senses to do what no other can. In order to stand a chance at tracking and killing the god-son Leo must give the Chimera within complete control.

And the Chimera might not let him return if he does.

REVIEW

This series! *clutches pearls* I adore it so hard! Adrienne Wilder has not only created an amazing world, but her characters are phenomenal! Reborn is the last book in the Bound Gods books. I will miss it so much. I hope for side books that deal with some other characters but if not I’m thrilled to have experienced this series.

We’ve followed Kaleb and Leo from the beginning, Aaron coming at book 3. And these three are trifecta perfecta. And that says something. Ménage is my favorite trope but it wasn’t always a threesome. It grew into one. Some people cringe when a third is introduced but if you meet Aaron, feel his emotions, read his thoughts you immediately know that without Leo and Kaleb, Aaron would surely die.

This was a thrilling addition to the series. The chase to end a monster by unleashing another. The fate of Aaron, what will happen when the Chimera is released? All this and more is here. We got to see The Priest more in this series and he’s quite something! He’s intriguing. And though I have no doubt he has an incredible story Adrienne gave us enough that we weren’t left wondering.

Of course there’s the other band of Leo’s misfit gang and we get to see Sonny again. And what a gift he has!

All in all this is a marvelous series that you simply must indulge in. The fact that I will miss it horribly shows how much this experience was outstanding!

Instead of turning over his wealth, he releases his son and Kaleb finds himself thrown into a world where a class of men see themselves as untouchable. Going so far as to call themselves gods.

After the Great Economic Collapse there are no laws that cannot be broken. And Kaleb is forced into a ten-year sentence of servitude where he will have no say, no rights, no value and yet be coveted and protected as if he were a priceless treasure.

Leo Roan, has slipped the noose the Association bound him with by breaking his addiction to ambrosia and Kaleb Holten was supposed to be his last assignment as a doxie Master. But something about the boy begins weaving a new net that will not only ensnare him but the conscious darkness inside, that craves pain, agony, suffering, and death.

 REVIEW

I love how after chapter one of a book I immediately know I’m going to love this series! This is such a creative story. The plot is amazing and always keeps me guessing. We don’t get a lot of answers in this book, but I suspect with each book comes more information.

This book introduces Kaleb (an innocent boy/man) to Leo (Half man half chimera). We don’t really know what’s going on upstairs in Leo’s head and he’s chewing on a lot of confusion. As we all are in this book. With each layer uncovered two more grow in its place and it’s so very intriguing.
I’m deeply in love with this amazing dark erotica from Adrienne Wilder! I adore the mystery, the lust, the characters, and every possibility that will surely happen.

Adrienne Wilder is a new author to me and I must say, she’s amazing! Her writing style is wonderful and she’s created a world of darkness, pain, and oddly possibilities. I’m so excited to see where she will take us in the next book.
