Featured Guest: Lynn Michaels

Diverse Reader is SO excited to have the amazing Lynn Michaels here today! I've met her and she's just as lovely in person as you'd think. She's here talking about her latest release Sometimes Rogues Return. There's an interview too so stick around.

I’m so happy to be here to share my latest release, Sometimes Rogues Return. It’s book 3 of the WCPC, Paranormal Consultants series, release this year by eXtasybooks.  The series follows three main characters through a mystery of sorts, dealing with demons and other paranormal phenomenon.
One of the main characters is Bryan Erickson, and he’s the Wrangler. He can manipulate physic and paranormal energies and he leads the team of consultants. I’ve asked Bryan here to talk about his role at WCPC and let you all get to know him a bit better.
Bryan struts in and pulls up a chair as if he owned the place. He has the whole alpha-swag vibe going on. He takes a quick sip of water and nods for me to get started.
Me (LM): Thanks for coming by today.
Bryan (BE): Thanks for inviting me. It’s not every day I get to be the center of attention.
LM: {I’m doubting that’s true, but I jump right into the questions anyway} When did you first realize you were a Wrangler?
BE: In my teen years. It came on me suddenly and caused an accidental incident. I didn’t understand it at first but was soon trained to use it correctly and safely.
LM:  What do you do outside of work?
BE: Sports and spending time with my boyfriend.
LM:  By boyfriend, you mean Kayden?
BE:  Yes of course. {He gives me a wink, obviously pleased with himself.}
LM: I understand you met Kayden in college, but you didn’t have a romantic relationship until more recently.
BE: Is that a question?
LM: No, but what can you tell us about Kayden and your relationship with him? Do you hear wedding bells?
BE: I’m a wrangler, not a psychic. I will say this, now that I finally have my man, I’m not letting him go without a fight.
LM:  Glad to hear that, but just what would you be doing with your life if you didn’t have your wrangler ability?
BE:  Besides chasing after Kayden? {Bryan laughs, it’s a full and hearty sound that makes me think he’s truly happy with his new boyfriend-status} Seriously, probably playing baseball. I played in college, but I never took it seriously enough. I thought it was more for fun since I knew I had a future as a wrangler. I still would have pursed Kayden, though.
LM:  I think the two of you make a good couple, but now for the tough question. Do you plan on continuing your work with WCPC even after what happened to Chad?
BE:  Yes, this is beyond what I do, it’s who I am. If I didn’t work for WCPC, I’d be working somewhere else doing the same thing. WCPC is a great company, they’ve treated me well, all things considered, so I’m not going anywhere.
LM: Can you tell us a bit more about Chad and the incident?
BE: That’s not a topic I like to talk about.
LM: Maybe not, but it’s important. A crucial part of your development and—
BE: {holds his hands up as if fending me off}  I get it. Okay. I’ll talk...The incident with Chad? Yeah, that was a fluke thing really. Under normal circumstances, he would have been fine. But you have to understand, this wasn’t your ordinary demon.
LM: Any demon possession is problematic, though, right?
BE:  Of course. demons are extremely dangerous. When they get in your head, they take over, and they know everything about you then. They’re tricky, hard to root out. It takes a well-trained wrangler and a seasoned sensitive.
LM:  A sensitive? That’s someone who can sense demon energy?
BE: Yes, I need, or any wrangler needs, them to find the energy, then the demon can be pulled out, once I have my wrangler abilities wrapped around him.
LM:  How do you do that?
BE:  Wrangler secrets. Sorry, I can’t say. {He gives me another wink, but I’m pretty sure he’s finished talking, since he’s started looking at his watch.}
LM: Okay, I’ll let you go for now. Thank so much for coming by and please send my regards to Kayden.
BE: It was my pleasure. Now, if you’ll excuse me.
With a short bow and a smile, Bryan waltzes right back out the same way he came in.
