Liam Scott is sick. That’s not supposed to be possible. As a wolf shifter, he’s supposed to be able to heal. The omega gene he was born with means he’s capable of carrying shifter young and Liam is worried that whatever is wrong will mean his one-day hope of having pups will be dashed. But despite the fears keeping him away from the doctor until now, he knows he needs to go.
It turns out the sickness is temporary, but the treatment causes a whole other problem.
Mason’s alpha gene means he’s one of very few wolves who can impregnate an omega male. For two years, he’d been watching Liam, but things kept getting in the way. When Liam shows up in heat, Mason recognizes the opportunity he needs and doesn’t hesitate make to Liam his mate and the father of his pups.

But Liam has old wounds and fears to work through which the pregnancy is only making worse, and Mason isn’t sure how to get past them to show he’s serious about making a life together as loving mates. It’s not until a female wolf decides Mason should be hers that Liam makes his biggest worry known—and Mason can finally put the fears to rest.

This really and truly is a romantic and sweet story! There aren’t two words more apt to describing this story. In this world, the author has created a universe where humans and shifters live amongst each other. Omega wolves, both male and female, can get pregnant. So, I took a moment and tried to picture a world where men walked around pregnant and kind of found that to be interesting.

In this case Liam is an omega and he works in a firm. He takes suppressants so that he can’t go into heat and therefore become pregnant. Of course something goes wrong he has side effect and well… I don’t want to tell you all the little adorable secrets this tale holds.

Mason is the CFO for the company Liam works for, and he’s an alpha. I loved how this all worked itself out. Mason, even before Liam goes into heat, had his eye on him. So, this whole thing was pure perfection for him.

So much in Liam’s past holds him back from saying those three magic words. So, we sit back and watch these two  love all over each other! Frustrated because they are both beyond stubborn. But it’s beautiful. Mason dotes on Liam like he’s the second coming and Liam works so hard with the trust part.

There really is minimal conflict in this story. A bump here and there but mostly it’s a smooth, warm, homemade apple pie kind of feeling, book. If that makes sense. I smiled through so much of it and I tell you, when it ended I thought Liam deserved an award… you’ll see.

All in all, this is a truly good feeling shifter/mpreg book. These guys are fabulous together. The secondary characters ore true godsends and added a wonderful layer to this story. Lovely.

Thanks so much to Meredith and Diverse Reader for hosting me today, for the Three Hearts release! I’m so excited to share it with you. Three Hearts is my first ever mpreg, so I hope you enjoy it. Here’s a steamy little excerpt exclusive to Diverse. Thank you again, Meredith!

Excerpt:

Liam

When we stepped into the penthouse, I turned toward the kitchen, sure Mason would want coffee—it was pretty typical for him at this point in the evening, and I certainly never turned the stuff down. Instead, Mason caught my hand. I turned, eyebrows up, and he tugged until I was in his arms. Without a word, he caught my lips in a soft kiss.
I cupped his face in my palms, putting into the kiss all the stuff I couldn’t say yet, couldn’t admit to myself even. Mason’s arms tightened around me, and I slid my hands up into his hair.
He broke the kiss and pulled back, but only by a few inches. His eyes danced over my face, but I couldn’t read his expression. He brushed his thumb over one of my cheekbones, then kissed me again softly before tilting his head toward the bedroom.
For whatever reason, he didn’t want words yet, but I wasn’t going to argue. Not that I liked to argue as it was, but especially with the mess my head—and heart—were in.
So when he stepped back, I took his hand and walked down the hall with him to the bedroom. We stood next to the bed, but when I reached for my T-shirt, Mason shook his head. Instead, he pulled it slowly up my chest, his hands sliding over my skin as he did.
My cock jumped and started to fill over the caress. The front of Mason’s jeans bulged slightly in reaction, and it did good things for me to know I affected him like that—even when I wasn’t in heat. Maybe especially when I wasn’t, because it was me and not some biological reaction that made him want me.
Mason tugged the shirt off and tossed it aside, then ran his hands back down my chest, pausing to thumb my nipples before moving on. As he went, he knelt, unbuttoning my jeans at the same time. When he opened them, he leaned in and kissed my belly softly right over where the pups were growing.
My heart skipped a beat and I swallowed. Whatever else I worried about, I couldn’t question that Mason wanted our pups. For reasons I couldn’t fathom, he was happy I was the one carrying them. I could accept that much, was sure of that even if I believed he could never love me as I hoped.
I ran my hands through his hair as he covered my belly with kisses. Despite the reason for the kisses—the pups—I couldn’t stop my reaction to Mason’s lips on my skin. It seemed, though, Mason didn’t want me to, because a moment later, he eased my jeans and underwear down, freeing my cock.
He helped me out of my shoes, then divested me of the rest of my clothes until I stood naked before him. He wrapped his hand around my cock and stroked it slowly, making me gasp. My ass started leaking enough to draw his attention next, and he slipped his free hand around to slide his fingers along my crack. He pushed one into me, and I couldn’t hold back the moan.
Mason hummed softly, then ran his tongue over the tip of my cock, lapping up the precum already dripping. The moan got louder, and I was rewarded with Mason’s mouth moving down over my length, swallowing me whole. He cupped my balls, teasing them next, and I knew if I didn’t do something fast, I was going to go off in an absurdly short amount of time.
I whined a little, tugging on Mason’s hair. He pulled off and looked up, eyebrows raised. I was loath to break the silence, but I had no other way to get my point across. “Need you inside me,” I whispered.
Mason stood, and I attacked his shirt while he opened his jeans and kicked off his shoes. A moment later, I had him naked against me. His cock rubbed mine deliciously, and I moaned again at the feel of skin against skin.
He cupped my ass and lifted me, and I wrapped my legs around his waist as he moved to the bed. After laying me down gently, he settled in on me, holding his weight on his forearms. I pulled until his lips were on mine and I could get lost in the kiss again.

About Brooke Blaine:

You could say Brooke Blaine was a book-a-holic from the time she knew how to read; she used to tell her mother that curling up with one at 4 a.m. before elementary school was her ‘quiet time.’ Not much has changed except for the espresso I.V. pump she now carries around and the size of her onesie pajamas. She is the author of Flash Point, a romantic suspense standalone, as well as the co-author of the erotic series, A Desperate Man, with Ella Frank. The latter has scarred her conservative southern family for life, bless their hearts. Licked, a romantic comedy, will be released November 11th, 2015 and is the first in the L.A. Liaisons series. Two Man Advantage

Victor Kalinski, all-star forward for the Boston Barracudas, is one of the biggest jerks in professional hockey. Before long his aggressive attitude gets him shipped off to play in the minor leagues.

Furious, he takes to the ice with equal amounts of skill and scathing sarcasm, which doesn’t win him any friends—except for good-natured alternate captain Daniel Arou. He won’t take any of Vic’s crap, and he won’t take no for an answer.

But Vic’s troublemaking is pulling his career one way while Dan’s talent is pushing his in the other. However much they scorch the sheets, they might soon be separated by more than Vic’s fear of being hurt.

Game Misconduct

Life has been treating Victor Kalinski well, which is a surprise for the ginger-haired forward with the venomous tongue. His career is somewhat stable, at least for another season. His relationship with Cougars alternate captain Dan Arou is deepening, despite the fact that Daniel has yet to come out of the closet.

It’s typical Kalinski luck when a puck bunny he shared a drunken night with several months ago slaps him with a paternity suit. Despite the sizzling passion and painfully heartfelt connection between them, Dan doesn’t take the news well, and heads back to Canada alone.

If he wants to make things right and win back the man he loves, Vic has no choice but to swallow his pride—and nobody’s prouder than hotheaded, ego-driven Victor Kalinski.

Full Strength

What a difference a year makes. Twelve months ago, Victor Kalinski was one of the best and most controversial ice hockey players in the pros. This year he’s playing in the minors, has a paternity case pending, and has just been vindictively outed to the world by one of his own teammates.

But he seems to find life in the tiny town of Cayuga to his liking. A large part of that is Dan Arou, the Cougars’ alternate captain and the man who now holds Victor’s heart. Surely venomous, viper-tongued Victor hasn’t been mellowed by love!

Well, perhaps a little. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t intend to get sweet revenge on those who’ve hurt the man he loves and the friends he’s somehow made along the way.

R-Rated Excerpt (From Two Man Advantage)

Lying beside him in the dark, I was thinking about getting under the covers to suck him off when he asked me what I thought about the team.
I shrugged the shoulder his dark head rested on. “They suck, man.” I ran my tongue over my teeth.
“Think so, do you?” he enquired. “I hate that sound you make when you suck air through your teeth.”
“Um, yah,” I snorted, my palm resting on his shoulder. “I mean, no offense, but if not for you that bunch of losers wouldn’t have the few wins they do. And tough shit about the teeth sounds.”
Dan’s exhalation blew over my nipple. It puckered up into a tiny pink bead. I really wanted to get oral on this man. He seemed to be chatty, though. I didn’t dare comment on how girly that was. My ass was still recovering from the last slur against his manhood I’d made.
“You’re right,” he confessed, sitting up against my wishes to turn on the light. I squeezed my eyes shut and bitched about the wattage. “You think you could help us out?”
My nose wrinkled. “Dan, man, look, maybe if I were going to be here for the season, yeah, I’d be happy to pass along what tricks I’ve learned. But this trip is just for a week or two.” I had hoped he would drop it as soon as I weaseled around. He didn’t. His blue eyes stayed glued to me. “Arou, man, don’t make this harder than it is. Why don’t you just turn out the light, lie down and let me get you off again?”
I saw the desire flare up in his gaze. “I’d consider it a favor if you gave the other guys a hand. They’re buddies, you know?”
“Whose buddies? Not mine. They all fucking hate me,” I countered, pulling him back to the bed.
He flopped down with a sigh of exasperation. I rolled over him and began tasting his neck. He was just as bound up in this crazy thing we shared as I was. His neck and jaw tightened as he worked to fight the fire trail where my tongue and lips moved over him, but the nudge of his erection against my stomach showed he couldn’t control the need for me any more than I could handle my need for him.
“That’s because you’re a dick,” he ground out as I tongued his navel.
I agreed, then licked a long trail across his belly.

Review

This was a cute and low heat story about opposites attract.

Marc Reed works hard on his boat 7 days a week to make ends meet. He finally gets that day off only to be roped into babysitting Ian Blythe, a spoiled rich guy. Except things aren’t always what they appear to be on the surface; a lesson Marc ends up having to learn once he’s stranded on an island with said spoiled rich guy. Ian hated living in the closet, being engaged to a woman, and most of all hated being told what to do by his father. But fear of what he would lose kept him in that place for far too long.

The story was a quick and fun read! Marc and Ian’s chemistry was a constant thing between them while on the island trying to survive. It became increasingly more difficult for Ian to hide who he was but I loved that Marc gave him room to be who he was without pushing. I loved that the author made it clear for both guys how against cheating they were so don’t go in expecting lots of island sex.

Marc was the fun one with a bit of an attitude because of past hurts. Ian was definitely a spoiled guy who didn’t want to lose his money if he came out to his family. Understandable if you think that’s all he’s ever known. I loved both these guys more at the end then at the beginning, as it should be. The writing and pace were perfect for this novella. I was easily sucked into their island and the world they had to live for the time they were stranded. The story was heartwarming and funny and I’m glad I read it.

I will definitely be looking for more from this author.
