Anyone who has been following me on Facebook or Twitter is aware of the drama that is Blogger. I came home yesterday from the beach to find my entire blog was deleted. In my email was a message from Blogger stating my blog violated terms of service and was marked as SPAM and removed.
I freaked! A LOT! It was gone! I had schedules to fulfill! Authors to flail about and a blog hop coming up!
Then I see on my Facebook timeline not 1 or 2 but a bunch of Blogger users having the same issue!
I disputed the deletion of my blog. It took awhile since I couldn't access my dashboard and had to have Blogger text me a verification code. Of course they tell me "We are reviewing your request for your blog to be reactivated, please allow up to 20 days for a response." OH. MY. GOD! TWENTY DAYS?
I started looking at other sites. I had commitments! But in less than 24 hours Blogger reinstated my blog. The reason "Due to an automated error your blog was deleted. After further review we apologize for the error and any inconvience it has caused."
Thankfully it was only minor heart explosions on my part, but alas I am back up and running :)

SMILE... It's Catching
A smile is catching, laughter is contagious. We all have bad days, some are so bad we think we will never be happy again. I've been there, along with 99% of the world. The other 1%, well, they are drug induced I'm sure. My hope with this post is by the time you reach the bottom, no matter how small, or pathetic you will be wearing a smile. So if this wacky ostrich didn't make you smile perhaps these will...
Puppies! I don't know many people - animal lover or not- can resist a puppy! They are adorable! Cute! HAPPY!
Not a dog person? Well, okay. How about this cat that is literally scared to get out of the bag? I couldn't help but chuckle! It's freaking cute.
This one did it for me. He so damn thrilled to be chillin on a rock in the middle of nowhere, just being awesome!
Maybe you're upset because your favorite pants didn't fit this morning, but they did a week ago? For that I suggest going into your closet and doing this to all your hangers!
If you're walking down the street and you are happy but the person walking by you is frowning... Brighten that smile! Make their day better, if only for a minute.
Say what you want about Liz, even toward the end she looked great! Seriously, I always feel a little better when I clean up. Wine is always a plus, but really, lipstick, a nice outfit... It helps get you out of a funk.
If you're surrounded by people (Or just one) that makes you feel like all you have to offer isn't enough. Remember there is some one or a bunch of someone's who think you are enough, even better then enough!
If none of this has made you feel better, or hasn't even made you smile a little, then I dare you not to smile at this. It's far too adorable for words.
So go out there with your great or not so great smile and take today by the balls and BE as amazing as you are!

The Act of Privacy
Privacy seems to be a gray area for a lot of people. Part of me can understand why. I log into Facebook and Twitter every day, and am assaulted with the "Drama Post" or the "Tantrum Tweet" The one that screams "PLEASE ASK ME ABOUT THIS STATUS" Because of that, Privacy has become one of those words that nobody understands anymore.
My issue, however, isn't with those mysterious posts. My issue is when people invade where they aren't welcome. Example? SURE! Actors, Authors, Models, basically anyone who is exposed in Social Media. Angelina Jolie becomes pregnant, she needs to contact her PR team and they need to draft up a story for the public. Why? Because if she doesn't and she's seen walking down Rodeo Drive with a baby bump all of a sudden she's a slut and having an affair. It's a price you pay for your status, I get it.
Now, why is it, when celebrities or other known figures share a part of themselves with us we need to poke just a little more? Why do we need to know the nitty gritty? I think we should just be happy that we were given a part of that private life.
I see it A LOT with authors. Mostly because that is where I hang out. When someone releases a new book, it's like Christmas. You are already getting so much of their soul because a writer puts a piece of themselves in every book they write. But, people push and want to know about their love lives, and if that HOT SCENE actually happened in their life. I see it all the time and it disgusts me. I have a saying in my house... "You get what you get and you don't get upset."
You have to see it like this. "If they want you to know, you will." Don't pry! Personal space people!
It's common courtesy, it's being a human being.

Why This Blog? Who Am I?
I am a person who has always had a lot to say. I will talk to you in public if you engage, and most of the time I'm "THAT" person starting the conversation. I see things in color and I don't believe any ONE person's opinion matters more then anyone else's. I'm not young, but I'm not old. I have seen a lot and not enough. I AM an incomplete puzzle and I hope to never be put together. I L O V E writing and so I do. (I have BETA's/ Editors and pre-readers for my stories, so don't cringe at my grammar on this blog) I very much enjoy reading and will read anything, literally.
I don't go onto blogs to find out what to read, and I don't take reviews I read to heart. I'm my own person, with my own mind and I alone, will make my own choices. Recommendations for books come from word of mouth. Friends know what I like. Acquaintances who pay attention, know what I like. So when one of them say, "Hey, read this, you'll love it." I will.
My style is eclectic. Movies, books, music, life. I love it all and hate it all. I will wake up and dance to Sia, by noon I will have Beethoven in my ears, and by nightfall I am booty boppin to One Direction. I don't have "A" taste, I have many.
So, what am I doing here? I'm telling you what a diverse reader, and eclectic person, and an incomplete puzzle is up to. We are all trying to survive, I want to live too.
It's your choice if you want to see what's going on in my cranium of chaos. Just remember, I'm Straight not Narrow. *wink*
