Every fiber in Van revolts everyone’s expectations of a regular omega. Mostly from the stupid alpha’s, he hates alpha’s, especially Omar!

Van uses Omar for his periods of heat, and despise him every time when it’s over. But he is weak in heat and needs an Alpha to fulfill his desire. And Omar, he is there, every time.

In Van’s eyes, Salvus is like The Promised Land for omegas. The place for him to be a free-spirited Omega. There will be no constraints, no a**hole Alphas with expectations, he can be who he is. And above all, there will be no Omar, his fated mate. Because Van doesn’t want to be strained in a corset, get babies and all the other stuff omegas have to do. But with all the focus on what he wants for himself, he loses the view on what others really want, like his mate Omar.

So Van heads over to Salvus leaving Omar behind. Only, the Promise Land has secrets. 

Omar wants to reach out to Van and he gets more and more anxious. Why did he ever let him leave in the first place? His road to Salvus isn’t as easy as it looks.

I loved and disliked Van with all his flaws. I loved Omar for ditto reasons. The whole story around them is well built up. Every new revelation made my teeth grind. Every step seemed like the wrong one. The secondary characters, Alphas, Betas, and Omegas, who seemed not at all secondary, played a good role in this story. 

The whole journey was very intriguing and unpredictable. The characters were varied and all with their own characteristics. It was captivating and it got me on the edge of my seat.

The life behind Salvus’ walls goes beyond imagination. Sit, read, and marvel! 

I’m not really happy about cliffhanger but with a prospect of a nearby continuation, I can handle it!

Review

I was thrilled to be giving an opportunity to read this book! I am always fascinated with MM books that have a touch of darkness embedded into their story lines. R. Phoenix absolutely did not fall short in giving a darker version to her story in The Beast's Beauty.

The story could be a trigger for some readers but it wasn't something that was too hard for me to read and I found myself grossly fascinated by her two main characters.

Ryder is basically written in a way that he comes off as a rich, stuck up, run of the mill typical frat boy. Takes for granted the rich society that he was raised in, the numerous pretty girls that were basically at his disposal, and parties and drinks way too much. Until he wakes from what he thought was a rough night of drinking to a cold floor, in a room with limited light, and a voice that sends chills down his spine. But, nothing could prepare him for the site of the monstrous man that now was standing in his way of freedom.

Once upon a time, he was famous, a celebrity to which millions of people adored him. He had money, fame, friends, and lost it all by being another's savior. Now the offers stopped coming, friends no longer around, he is nothing but a shell of the man he once was. 

Soon his loneliness will be gone! Griffin finally found his way to be happy. Now if only his pet Toby would stop fighting and give in to his demands. 

This story has a little BDSM but nothing that is too elaborate! I have always been on the fence about puppy play, but I really liked the story line because neither was too heavy!

Review

Amazing paranormal read by the phenomenal R. Phoenix and Morgan Noel. Their storytelling took me into a world where there were groups that one would have to join -regardless of if they truly wanted to- in order to survive. I could sense that the characters were angry, depressed and fighting just in order to have basic needs met such as food, clothes, and water. No matter whose side a person was on it was if no one was really winning cause apart of themselves were dying inside for the choices they had to make.

As these authors go deeper into the story line their two main characters are thrown together in a situation that they are trying to come to terms with. Having to not only suppress the acknowledgement that they know one another but to realize that they are fighting against each other. That the history that they once shared was full of love, lies, and misconceptions of the other. The characters of Kieran and Romulus are definitely a complicated story line but is told in such a remarkable way that it had me intrigued from the beginning to the end. 

I loved all the twist and turns that this story had. Had just enough of taboo to make it all the more steamy and naughty!

This is a book about people and situations. How one person can change the entire course of things. How one person can hold so much power over you that you no longer live for yourself. Then you have the people who are strong and brave and never realize how amazing they are until someone comes along and makes them see it.

Skylar was once a happy go lucky kid who thrived at school. Then his life changed. He dropped out and became the guardian for his sister Evie. Where life took him from there was dark. But when we do first meet Sky he’s going to a meeting at the high school for his sister. Of course it’s math that’s the issue (I can relate) and OF COURSE her math teacher is a God! But Sky is what opens this book up. His personality. His cheesy jokes that are so bad you can’t help but laugh at them. His love and devotion to his sister. You just see and feel and wrap yourself around him. That’s what makes his situation so hard to read.

Dexter is quite a bit older than Sky but he’s the hero of this story. When we find ourselves in the dark we often hope a light will shine and show us the way. Dexter is that light for Sky. He saves Sky and Evie from a future that they may not have come out of without him.

This book focuses on abuse. About being abused and battling with the voices in your head about what to do. It’s easy to pass judgement on someone who stands by their partner who hurts them. But unless you’re in it; there’s no room for that type of judgement. Dalton never judges and I adored him for that.

I will say, because of the serious material of this book Skylar’s jokes were a blessing. It really balances out the heavy  and the light stuff.

This was a great read. A bit powerful and a lot important. So, I recommend this!
