We have all been a victim of autocorrect. Never in my life have I told someone to go duck themselves more than I have since autocorrect became a thing. In Clay's case, he turns Prius into penis and that leads to a very interesting story. I will say this story is sweet and it is very insta-lust. If insta-lust is your thing this is for you. I don't have so much an aversion to this I'm not a huge fan of insta-love but the author doesn't go there so I was comfortable with that.

What I loved about this story was the fact the author used older characters. It's just not that common these days. Sometimes it feels like once they hit thirty they no longer get love. But not here, folks. Darrell is in his forties and Clay is in his mid-thirties. I loved that. The only problem was neither acted their age even a little bit.

Communication? Oh yeah. But look at the title of this book. Did you really think it was going to go smoothly? If you thought there was not going to be issues then you may not have read the blurb or seen the title. Again, I didn't have an issue with miscommunication what I had an issue with was how these two handled it. Where acting like a seventeen-year-old when it came to the physical that is not how they should have acted when it came to talking it out and handling situations.

One thing I'm not a fan of is when grown anyone runs away when things get tough and when dealing with a thirty-something-year-old and a forty- something- year- old I expected better from them. That was a disappointment for me. I'm in my late thirties and when someone texts me and I'm either confused by it, or I think he or she may have flubbed I ASK them. Because I'm not five and I have a rational mind. I would have liked to have seen these guys act more grown up on that front.

Otherwise, it's a cute and sexy story with a possibility of a sequel and an HFN ending for these guys.

Hey everyone! My name is M.A. Church, and I’ve dropped by Diverse Reader to talk about my release, Riding the Tide. This is book two in the Deep Blue Sea series.

Marcus Krill, a creature of the sea, is a perfectly content bachelor. Or so he tells himself. Blair Estes, a creature of land, is perfectly happy with his nomadic lifestyle. Now his wandering brings him to the Seychelle islands and a mysterious merman who intrigues him. Fascinated and attractive, Blair accepts a date with Marcus, only to panic later and question the circumstances of how they met. He runs all the way back to the States.

Only then does he examine his actions. Not to mention he simply cannot forget the merman he met. In the harsh light of day, he comes to the conclusion that standing Marcus up for their date was a monumental mistake. Knowing his pride is going to take a hit, he returns to the Seychelle islands and contacts Brett, the owner of the resort where he stayed, and who set up the date for him and Marcus.

Determined to beg if needed, he asks Brett to help him set up another meeting with Marcus, only to be told no one has seen Marcus since Blair fled. In desperation Blair rents a small yacht and sets sail in the vain hope he might run across Marcus. Disheartened and disillusioned, he waits and hopes.

Then fate steps in and grants his wish.

Exclusive Excerpt:

Heartsick and more than a little disgusted with himself, he grabbed his fins and his snorkeling mask. So back into the water he would go in the vain hope that somehow, someway, Marcus would know he was looking for him. He strapped the dive knife to his thigh, put on his mask, and slipped on his fins.

He slipped into the water enjoying the weightlessness. The feeling of helpless excitement as he floated got his heart to thumping. Sunlight filtered through the water, and fish swam around him. He loved this, loved the world underneath the waves, but could he live here? Considering Marcus was the creature of the water, it stood to reason their majority of the time would be spent there. Could he do that? Give up the land?

Maybe.

Trying to live without Marcus left him unhappy. So much so that he not only returned to the islands, but he rented a damn boat and took to the waves in a futile search for his merman. The fish darted playfully around him, then fled.

Their retreat was sharp and abrupt and left him wondering what exactly he did to scare them. From the murky depths something swam toward him, coming fast. Blair’s blood ran cold when he saw what it was. Oh shit! Shit! Tiger shark. He tried not to flail around in the water.

Movement caught their attention, he knew that. As calmly as he could, he tried to surface, even as he kept an eye on the fast-moving object heading his way. Had it seen him? Or had he just happened to be in the way it was swimming? He needed out of the damn water before the shark focused on him.

Just as he thought he had a chance, the shark suddenly jerked his head toward him.
