REVIEW

I actually don't read a lot of lesbian fiction. So every now and again one is submitted that really catches my eye and Ninia Sebae by Adile Lamb was one of them.
First I want to compliment the cover artist. This is a gorgeous cover. It speaks of the beauty, lore, and general feel that this book brings to the reader. Lovely.
This is a novella and not a log one. It's a quick and very enjoyable read. It's a gorgeous story and quite emotional for its length. Usually it takes me a good amount of time to fall insot the emotion of a book but this one really crept up fast.
I also loved how imaginative the author got. There's "magic" for lack of a better word, as Angela is forced to go back to her past and deal with it.
I was surprised how much story was able to be told in 70 pages. This is really mystical, creative, and well written. Good start to this series.

Lily is from Turkey. She works as a nurse by day and writes LGBT Romance by night. She visits her family in Turkey regularly and travel to other countries like Singapore to visit the other family members. She is blessed with three grown up children and a furry child, JJ Basil.

Lily focus in her LGBT stories are on mere mortals because she believes that love is universal. Her mortal heroes are not rich, famous or incredibly handsome males with six pack bodies… rather they are just everyday men who work hard and deal with whatever that life throws at them.

She  is against bullying in any form. She is actively involved with Marriage Equality and stands by the same sex couples who want to have children. She believes that primarily, a child needs a loving, protective home.Lily’s biggest regret is not studying English formally because writing stories, consequentially, takes much longer. She still gets there of course, thanks to her bevy of loyal and supportive beta readers, editors and wonderful friends.
Lily especially thanks her husband with all her heart for his endless patience, love and support. He is the love of her life and apple of her eye….he is the home she goes to at the end of a hard day at work.

Review

One of life’s biggest obstacles are unexpected events that change who we are and where we are in our life. Some are wonderful, hopeful, and inspiring changes that let us reach higher than ever expected. Some are heartbreaking, crushing, and arduous battles that bring us to an all-time low; challenging us in ways we would never expect.

Terry is going through one of those obstacles after a life altering heartbreak that left him homeless and alone, but he is now at a point that he is ready to rebuild all that was lost to him. Starting fresh, especially for a homeless person is one the hardest task given because most people do not always think the best of you or you are completely overlooked in life.

Chris has lived a life full of love, family, and a great career. Through this life of love and acceptance Chris has been taught to be a good samaritan to others less fortunate than himself which is what ultimately leads to Terry and Chris meeting.

Will Terry be able to overcome his demons and build up his trust in someone else besides himself? Does Chris stay strong in face of Terry’s constant fight to be prove he is worthy of a man like Chris?

Writing about a homeless person’s struggle all the while making you feel hope and love is what truly made this story so wonderful. I truly thought this was a beautiful story of not just these two men going through some major life changes all while trying to navigate this tenuous relationship, but the story of a homeless man gaining back himself and his life through hard work and trust.

Not only do we have this slow build between Terry and Chris, but she has created a wonderful cast of secondary characters, Jemma, Marcus, and Melek, whose own stories are developing throughout, are essential to Terry and Chris. Although, I felt some parts of the narration and character interactions were stilted the author did a wonderful job in developing each character and their importance to this story, interweaving them perfectly. There was one part of the story that I felt would've been better off “shown” over a series of scenes instead of “told”, because it would have given the reader the chance to slowly and truly feel the connection that was needed that surrounded this particular situation. The overall pacing and development of the story was so well done that there never a part that I felt was rushed or stagnant. Any story that fills you with so much hope and love is one everyone should read!

Synopsis

It has been weeks since Curtis first saw the young waiter with the haunted eyes. No matter how often he went to the café to find the right opportunity to introduce himself, that moment simply did not come that quickly.

Joseph was aware of the gentle giant who quietly came to have his lunch and then left day after day. Fearing his father’s wrath and under his ever watchful eyes, he made no moves nor overtures. Until one day when the other man approaches to him…

Hope can turn to love... interracial love.

Review

Stay With Me is a touching, sad emotional read. It has sweetness wrapped throughout it. There’s angst, and romance. That’s the "one line" feel of the story.

Joseph, which is an MC in this story is dealing with a lot. He has an abusive, possessive father. I mean his dad is a real piece of you know what. Curtis, the other MC, works in Joseph’s Father’s restaurant. Nothing needs to be said to Curtis to see the pain, heartache, and fear in Joseph’s eyes. He wants to save him, protect him, and love him.
After a horrible situation Curtis and Joseph are together and so the healing begins. Joseph’s innocence tugs at your heart. Curtis teaches him kind and loving touch and that was beautiful.

There were some issues to this story but they are not unforgiving.  There was some editing/grammar problems in the sense this story was more tell and not show. It’s quite common and of course I pick up on such things as a reviewer. It just needs a little sharpening up. Another set of eyes perhaps.

All in all it’s an endearing tale of a loving rescue.
