Synopsis

Review

This is book four in Meraki’s The Cubi series. This is a series that once you begin it, you won’t be able to quit it. It is following a story arc so you do need to read them in order. You will be lost otherwise.

Now, what do I say about this? I guess this review speaks to those who have been following Daniel’s amazing journey. Well, our boy has to grow up and fast! There’s so much happening in this book. As you remember when the last book ended, they all fled. Well, now we see the next plan. And it’s not smooth sailing.

It was beautiful watching Daniel, Seldon, and Caledon get closer. It made me so happy to see these three in love. We meet so many characters and we see ones we have come to adore. The story is growing and it’s also getting intense, dark, and emotional.

NO SPOILERS but I will say that there’s a part of this book that may be hard to read. No doubt you realized with the end of book three that war was coming. And it’s moments like what happen here that we realize a few things. No one is untouchable. What happens will tear at your heart but I swear the author makes it right. But there’s a moment, you’ll know it when you get there, and you’ll be thinking the same thing I was. “Daniel will rise and they will all be sorry.”

It didn’t end on a cliffhanger but it did end with you eager for book five. People need to pay, and there’s no getting out of a war.

Meraki has created an amazing world. He’s brought hatred into the light and the war of acceptance even more important to win than ever. I very much embraced this book and as silly as it sounds I’ve become attached to these characters and I want to see them win!

I’m ready for more.

Where do I start with this beautiful blindside? When the author reached out to me asking for a review I did that thing all reviewers do; looked them up, tried to get a feel for them because they were new to me.  When I read the synopsis I was so intrigued. It was right up my alley. And so I said yes and took the chance of reading a new author. Now, this author will be stalked by me for new books because it was outstanding!

It would be far too difficult for me to summarize this story. I’m not sure I’d do it justice but I’m going to give you a reader’s view. It won’t drag just to get the idea of what you’re in for. Now, it does end with a cliffhanger but book 2 is out so you won’t have to wait!

 Daniel is nineteen and beautiful. His face had adorned the cover of a magazine, he was on a few shows, he was super vain. In the human world we call that conceited in Seldon’s world he calls it natural. When Daniel sees a call for young gorgeous models he jumps on the chance in the hopes of fulfilling his dreams. What he finds is himself waking naked on a train bound toward a compound where he will be enslaved forever to pleasure Incubi and Succubae. With me still?

I don’t want to give you much more. Seldon is tasked with training Daniel since Daniel is an Untouchable. That means he’s a virgin of sorts. He’s never been penetrated. He’s also the youngest they’d seen in like centuries. At nineteen he would have to remain untouched for three years. And Seldon is tasked with making sure it’s carried out.

OKAY that’s all you get from me. I’m sure you can imagine how intense a slave story surrounded by pleasure he can’t obtain can be. There’s suspense to this story too and a foreboding sense of what’s to come. I adored pretty much every second. It took me a little time to get the hierarchy explanation and I’m not 100% sure I got it down pat but I’m not confused.

Because of the cliffhanger and the material I wouldn’t call it a love story nor an HEA. It’s a cliffhanger with daunting questions and if you’re me, hope. 

I do recommend this book absolutely. It’s wildly entertaining, well written, and amazing hot and sexy fun!
