Strip Search is the seventh book in Morticia Knight’s Sin City Uniforms series. This time we have exotic dancer, Dakota and patrol officer Reed’s story.

Dakota is a stripper working to pay for dance classes to become an aerialist in a big Vegas show. The club he works in, Glitter Boys, pays a lot. It’s also run by a ruthless man who wants more from Dakota than he is willing to give. Just as Dakota is realizing the trouble he’s in, his younger brother runs away and he knows he’s the only one who can help his brother. Searching for his brother, puts Dakota right in the path of the kind and sexy police officer, Reed.

There are immediate sparks on both sides, numbers are exchanged, and Reed offers his assistance in Dakota’s search. The very next night, Reed comes across Dakota again. He sees that Dakota has a dangerous boss and pleads with Dakota to accept his help. Dinner leads to the two of them getting close…very close. They each have things they need to share with the other, but both want to pursue what’s happening between them. Now they just need to find Dakota’s brother, meet the family, and take care of the ruthless boss…easy, right?

This was an enjoyable and easy read. I have to admit that I would have loved to see the search for the brother and the bad guy boss storyline fleshed out a bit more. That’s just a personal preference because I love a bit more angst and mayhem. This is a bit of insta-relationship, but both men are charming and very likable. The chemistry and heat burn brightly between Reed and Dakota. The relationship may happen quickly, but you can see them growing as a couple and I really liked that. I haven’t read all of the previous seven books, I didn’t realize it was part of a large series. I found that I didn’t need to have read them, each reads as a standalone. You will meet characters that will have you looking for them in your kindle though.

A very sensual story, where two men find their forever.

I loved everything about this story, but I swooned by how Diego devoured Rich.

Gosh, that was intense and hot.

Diego is passionate as he makes sex into art. He loves to play and devour Rich.

Rich is a busy guy and works many hours. With the little money he earns, he can lease an apartment with two other guys. He works at a coffee shop and running the programming at the Vegas LGBTQ teen shelter. After some awful dates, he concludes to stay with his book-boyfriends instead of real-life guys. Until the rough-looking ‘biker’ guy at the coffee shop asks him to dinner. Very quickly Rich understands Diego isn’t at all what he expected at first sight.

What he experienced with Diego omg that was beyond his imagination. He never met a guy with such strong sensuality.

Besides this, there are doses of action, angst, and even worse. Absolutely not too much, I found it quite entertaining and it fit perfectly in this story, it didn’t overshadow the beautiful and intense relationship and lovemaking. All nicely balanced!

It doesn’t matter what this author writes, it’s always entertaining. Always with a good portion of excitement, engaging and lovable characters, intensely sexual, attractive environments and a wonderful well developed plot.

When I first saw the blurb for Copping an Attitude, it pulled me right in, I love stories of survival. Slade is a young prostitute living in Sin City, a boy forced from his home by his homophobic parents. He’s surviving the only way he can and he’s barely getting by. He’s trapped by a horrible pimp named Julio and has no say in his life at all. Slade’s desperation is very visceral, you feel his pain from the moment we meet him. This is a guy who just needs a chance, an escape.

When Slade is almost arrested by Parker, he thinks he sees something in the man that makes him believe Parker actually wants to help him. Fear holds him back from taking a chance though. He manages to get away, but neither man is able to put the other out of their minds. When a week later, Slade finds himself in trouble, Parker comes to his rescue. This time he has no choice but to accept the help being offered. Slade knows if he stays on the streets, he’s going to die. Parker and Slade --who admits his real name is Lonnie-- begin falling for each other right away. Parker is looking for forever, but Lonnie is so worried about being a burden. Lonnie also has so much baggage to deal with, his sad history has definitely left scars behind…inside and out. While Lonnie is still in danger, Parker offers a safe place to lie low. The two begin a relationship and very real feelings are developing between these two men. It doesn’t matter that Parker is a police officer and Lonnie a former hustler, age doesn’t matter…they just fit. The thing about the past though is that it tends to come back and try to put an end to a happy future. When Lonnie finds himself in trouble, he just hopes that Parker really does care for him and will help him once again.

I really enjoyed this book, it definitely has some insta-love happening. I wanted happiness especially for Lonnie so badly that I loved that. It has some suspense and some dangerous moments that I wish had been fleshed out a bit more, but that’s my personal preference. The author does a great job of making you care about these men and their happiness. I also love that this isn’t a “love conquers all” story, there is therapy and time being given for real healing. Overall, this was a really good addition to this series and a wonderful read.
