As stated in
Best Alpha Books Part One I asked people in the M/M Rec Group on Facebook what their favorite Alpha books were and they came through... and then some. With so many favorites from readers I've had to break this down in to parts. Part one posted last week and as promised here is part two. I asked, you answered... Here you go.
Rough Canvas by Joey W Hill
When his father dies, Thomas is forced to abandon a
burgeoning art career in New York. As difficult as it was to give up his
lifelong dream, it's nothing next to walking away from the man he loves. Marcus
taught him to embrace who he is, a sexual submissive who responds to the touch
of only one Master. But why would the sophisticated Marcus need some farm kid
from the South?
Then Marcus shows up and offers him a way to continue his art career and help
his family. There's only one hitch-he asks Thomas to spend a week with him in
the Berkshires. Thomas knows he should refuse. But he's never been able to say
no to his Master.
THIRDS Series by Charlie Cochet
Book 1: Hell & High Water
When homicide detective Dexter J. Daley’s testimony helps
send his partner away for murder, the consequences—and the media frenzy—aren’t
far behind. He soon finds himself sans boyfriend, sans friends, and, after an
unpleasant encounter in a parking garage after the trial, he’s lucky he doesn’t
find himself sans teeth. Dex fears he’ll get transferred from the Human Police
Force’s Sixth Precinct, or worse, get dismissed. Instead, his adoptive father—a
sergeant at the Therian-Human Intelligence Recon Defense Squadron otherwise
known as the THIRDS—pulls a few strings, and Dex gets recruited as a Defense
Agent.
Dex is determined to get his life back on track and eager to get started in his
new job. But his first meeting with Team Leader Sloane Brodie, who also happens
to be his new jaguar Therian partner, turns disastrous. When the team is called
to investigate the murders of three HumaniTherian activists, it soon becomes
clear to Dex that getting his partner and the rest of the tightknit team to
accept him will be a lot harder than catching the killer—and every bit as
dangerous.

All Kinds of Tied Down by Mary Calmes
Deputy US Marshal Miro Jones has a reputation for being calm
and collected under fire. These traits serve him well with his hotshot partner,
Ian Doyle, the kind of guy who can start a fight in an empty room. In the past
three years of their life-and-death job, they've gone from strangers to
professional coworkers to devoted teammates and best friends. Miro’s cultivated
blind faith in the man who has his back… faith and something more.
As a marshal and a soldier, Ian’s expected to lead. But the power and control
that brings Ian success and fulfillment in the field isn't working anywhere
else. Ian’s always resisted all kinds of tied down, but having no home—and no
one to come home to—is slowly eating him up inside. Over time, Ian has
grudgingly accepted that going anywhere without his partner simply doesn't
work. Now Miro just has to convince him that getting tangled up in heartstrings
isn't being tied down at all.

Quinn Maloney’s reward for ten years of faithfully keeping his closeted
boyfriend’s secrets? A hell of a wake-up call to go with his morning coffee.

girlfriend—and Quinn was to never reveal their history.
With the baby’s baptism looming and Quinn expected to put on a polite front, he
decides he’s had enough of playing the peacekeeper. One wink from a much
younger, eyeliner-wearing guy in a bar, and Quinn’s found a perfectly

The date goes better than he ever imagined. And so much worse, as Eli convinces
everyone they’re madly in love. That wasn’t part of the plan, but the more
Quinn learns about the man behind the makeup, the more he wishes it was true.
In the Middle of Somewhere by Roan Parrish
DANIEL MULLIGAN is tough, snarky, and tattooed, hiding his
self-consciousness behind sarcasm. Daniel has never fit in—not at home with his
auto mechanic father and brothers, and not at school where his Ivy League
classmates look down on him. Now, Daniel’s relieved to have a job at a small
college in Northern Michigan, but, a city boy through and through, when Daniel
arrives in Holiday, Michigan, it’s clear that this small town is one more place
he just won’t fit in.
REX VALE clings to routine to keep loneliness at bay: honing his large,
muscular body until it can handle anything, perfecting his recipes, and making
custom furniture. Rex has lived in Holiday for years, but his shyness and
imposing size have kept him from connecting with people. Though he loves the
quiet and solitude of his little cabin in the woods, Rex can’t help but want someone
to share it with.
When Daniel arrives in Holiday, they are smitten with each other, but though
the sex is intense and explosive, Rex fears that Daniel will be one more in a
long line of people to leave him, and Daniel has learned that letting anyone in
could be a fatal weakness. Just as they begin to break down the walls that have
been keeping them apart, Daniel is called home to Philadelphia where a secret
is revealed that changes the way he understands everything.

his craving for dominance, the control, and the connection they shared. Rafael,
a paid Dominant in the Chicago underworld, has been dealing with a cop problem

Doubleback by Lissa Ford
After a tragic shooting left him wounded and in disgrace,

Life has other plans when Jude finds a dead man draped across his front doorstep.
The victim is the first hookup Jude’s had in, well, ever. Once Jude processes

investigate the murder is Rowan Muir, Jude’s ex. Their split was ugly, and
Rowan isn’t the forgiving type.
Now Jude is drawn back into a world he left behind: murder investigations and
fighting the undeniable attraction he has for Rowan. Rowan is still holding
onto a substantial grudge. But both men need to figure out how to cope with
being thrown together again, because it’s becoming increasingly clear that Jude
is being targeted by a murderer – one who may have come from Jude’s past for
