Synopsis

Lost and afraid of the truth of that rejection, Dante pines from afar—more used to suffering than facing his problems. However, his feelings continue to torment him and no matter how many times he wants to leave the past behind, it won't let go.
Magnetic is a short companion story to Volatile in the Treacherous Chemistry series.

I missed these boys. I missed the tense, raw writing. I missed Dante and how broken he was without
Chris. I missed Chris being by him. I am beyond happy to finally get this part of
their story I had wanted after reading book one, Volatile.
I had written this in my review of
book one:
Although
it felt a bit rushed and maybe too easy it was the Dante we see after all the
hard times are coming to an end. This Dante to me did not feel authentic to the
one we met through the rest of the story. There was almost a complete shift in
how he acted and one that I couldn’t understand and felt...fake?
This short story cleared up any issues I had after finishing Volatile.
Yes, it’s after reading it, but it was
such an important part of understanding the Dante
we saw at the end. How did he get there? What happened during their time apart?
This answered that and more for me. It
was just as beautiful, just as heart breaking, and just as perfectly broken. I
still hate Dante’s parents but that’s okay, they deserve my anger for how they
still treat their son.
If you’ve never read these books. Do it. You won’t
regret it. You’ll wonder and think and rage,
but you will come out the other end reading a story worth all those emotions.
