Synopsis
Dr. Miles Grant acknowledges that his destined mate could be either gender even though his bisexuality cost him his family and his pack. Luckily he found the Forbes Pack, who happily accepts him just as he is. What he never counted on was finding his mate in Pittsburgh or for his mate to be another species entirely—a cat!
Quincy Archer isn’t just any jaguar shifter. He is the heir to the leadership of his pride. Destined mates are nothing but legend to the nearly extinct and generally solitary jaguars, and Quincy certainly never expected to find one for himself, much less a male… or a wolf.
However, finding each other and coming to terms with their species is the least of their worries. Quincy is expected to select a proper female mate, father a cub, and take his place as heir to the pride. Except Quincy refuses, having no interest in women or leadership and knowing he isn’t right for it. But his father will stop at nothing—not even attempting to kill Miles—to get his way. Quincy and Miles must overcome many obstacles to stay together as the destined mates they’re meant to be.

Review
I have been waiting to read this book since book 2 Patience
had come out because who wouldn't want to get more of Quincy and Miles!
Quincy and Miles are true mates we met in the epilogue of
Patience. Miles was always open to his mate being either male or female but
what he didn't count on was the gods picking a cat - more specifically a jaguar shifter - for him. What makes this even more
difficult is two very important factors. One, his cat doesn’t believe in fated
mates because cats are solitary; so how could they mate for life? Two, is that
Quincy is on the run from his father the Tepey (leader) of the pride who wants
him to take over for him when he passes it on. But Quincy doesn’t want it, all
he wants his to draw and sell information.
I loved Miles. Right from the start he refuses to give up on
Quincy even though he doesn’t see him because he is on the run. He was just
that type of character that was sweet and sexy all rolled into one. He has a
big heart and because of that he falls for Quincy hard and fast! Even during
the whole on-the-run-in-hiding thing he is such a strong guy that you can’t
tell, for the most part, that he feels completely out of his element. He makes
the best of the situation and continues to push his loner mate Quincy to bond
with him.
Quincy is so shocked that he has a true mate that at first
he doesn’t believe it. He’s a CAT! Jaguars don’t
have true mates but he does feel this pull to Miles that he can’t help. It’s
that pull that initially gets him hurt by the bad guys because he can’t seem to
stay out of town and away from Miles. Quincy realizes pretty quickly that
because of these outside forces that are working to get him he cannot possibly
stay away from Miles. It’s not because he cares about him...much.
The action/mystery part of this
story takes a pretty significant part of the book but no in a bad way. There is
always something for them to be doing so the flow of the story is steady and
continuous; there is very little slow or down time in the story. I love that we
get to have Chad & Jaime and Tanner & Finley from the previous two
books playing a big part of this story as well. It’s always nice to get a dose
of characters that we miss after their story ends. Quincy and Miles have this
way about them that shows their love and care for each other in simply the
everyday acts of random touches, conversations, and kisses. Oh, the tender
sweetness of these two is beautiful!
If you loved the first two books
of this series, Devotion and Patience, you will want to pick this one up! If
you haven’t read them yet...well, why not? Go do it now!

I absolutely loved this book! And this series. Right now, I'm looking forward to reading Wolfsong, after all the hype it's been gathering.
