We will be taking a look at her work, doing an interview, and wrapping it up with a wonderful interview! Let's begin.
When love sneaks up on you, shoot for the heart.
Billy Bradford has a secret, and it's bigger than the fact that he's an assassin. When Tucker Hayes, Billy's "straight" best friend, is injured on a mission, Billy acts in haste, kissing Tucker. Shocked by the act, Tucker runs. But desire is stronger than convictions, leading Tucker to hunt down Billy.
The other guys on the ranch are oblivious to Tucker and Billy's actions as they investigate a new target. Grant Stovall is hung up on his ex, but Roger Burk, their new operative, catches his attention and one small touch isn't enough.
Meet the cowboys of Wild Bluff Ranch in the first book of the Colorado Heart Series, Colorado Wild.
When Lucas Spires goes missing, his brother Amos turns to Brett Hutchings, an ex Marine, kicked out for being gay. After Amos betrayed him, forced him out of Lucas’s life and ended his career, Brett vowed to never to never to speak with, much less help Amos, until the end of eternity. But Brett can’t deny his need to save Lucas, the one guy he’s never been able to get out of his system, even if it means working for Amos.
The trail is cold, with Lucas missing for more than a month. The cops are clueless, unable to find even a hint that the young man was abducted instead of just wandering away. When Brett latches onto a trace of evidence, it looks like he’ll find Lucas, but the clue doesn’t pan out the way he thinks it should.
Lucas can’t take the abuse any longer. He’s at the end of his chain, literally. If he could escape into the mountains, he would, but the sick bastard attached a manacle to his leg, exerting his control physically. Lucas is desperate to escape his captor; all hope has vanished, crushing his spirit. Lucas dreams of a savior, but Brett walked away a long time ago, and he’s the only man strong enough to save Lucas.
Star football player, Jack Miller, had it all. The perfect family, looks, girls hanging on his every word, and the respect of most people in his town. But one thing was missing--a man to be his own.
When Andrew Collins showed up in small town, conservative Sweet, Georgia, he looked more scrawny mutt than high school senior. Andrew's plan was to keep his head down and graduate high school, leaving his family behind to start his real life.
When he meets Andrew, Jack thinks he's found heaven, but reality holds him in check until one night when his lips gently slide across Andrew's and fireworks go off.
As lust and something a little deeper brings them together, compelling them to take chances, people start to notice. Then the unthinkable happens, and Jack's parents find out he likes guys. The battle lines are drawn and they vow to pray the gay away.
INTERVIEW
Thank you, Sara, for being here today and for answering some
questions. You’re generosity during the LGBT Push Back Giveaway was amazing. In
case anyone didn’t know, Sara gave EVERY PERSON who entered that giveaway free
books! So now I want to grill you about things (LOL)
When brainstorming a new book you’re writing what do you
find has been the easiest, most efficient way to get you where you need to be?
I usually think about a book for a
few weeks before I start writing. Once I actually get to the writing phase it
flows easily. I do used coffee and music to get me to the point where I can
write. If I’m having issues, a good cup of coffee and turning on my iTunes
works wonders.
I’m asking this question to a lot of people right now
because it’s important I think. The SCOTUS ruling, how did that affect you?
Tell us all the emotions that went through your mind and heart when you heard
that same sex marriage is now legal in all of the United States?
I was absolutely thrilled with the ruling.
It’s so exciting to see progress. Just having the opportunity for millions of
Americans to marry is amazing. I was driving home when I heard the news and we
were cheering in the car.
If you could hope for one thing someone could take with them
from your books, what would you want that to be?
That they are beautiful and deserve love. I
know some people think they are too damaged, or mean, or defective, but they
aren’t. There’s someone for everyone.
Have you always wanted to write or was it something that
just hit you one day? How did it all come to be?
I love writing but I didn’t always think I
could be a writer. In my teen years I tried, but it was a failure. Eventually I
decided to just step out and write. I started writing in 2001 but wasn’t
published until 2008. Now writing feels natural.
Okay, this is a complete turnaround. If you were on death
row (EEEP) and you had to pick your last meal. What would it be?
Shrimp, lobster and steak with chocolate cake on the side.
Are there any upcoming meetups or conferences you’ll be
attending?
What do you do to decompress after finishing a book?
I usually spend the day watching TV or hanging
out with my husband.
Are there any authors you’d love to collaborate with?
I would love to work with Ethan Stone again.
What is your favorite movie, favorite band or song, and
favorite childhood book?
My favorite movies are the Bourne
series. Favorite band is Green Day.
What are you currently working on?
I’m currently working on Bonded 2, the follow up to Bonded.
How can your fans follow you? Website, Facebook, other?
Thank you, Sara, This has been so much fun!!!!

Great interview! Loved it!!!
ReplyDeleteTwo authors collaborate hmmm. Tricky. Not sure lol.
DeleteSara York is one of my favorites! I am so looking forward to seeing more and more from her!! And a collaboration would be EPIC!!
ReplyDeleteI'm having a hard time trying to come up with two authors collaborate maybe Amy Lane and R J Scott they two of my favourite authors.
ReplyDeleteSara is one of my favorite authors. After reading the Pray The Gay Away series, she was added to my go to author list. I have a few authors that I absolutly love and their styles and subject matter are so diverse. I'm not sure how to pick just two and say I'd love to see a collaboration written by them.
ReplyDeleteHmm...collaborations can be tricky. Maybe a book by Kade Boehme and Felice Stevens? or Amber Kell and Talia Carmichael?
ReplyDeleteRenae Kaye and Tj Klune I think would be a humorous snarky collaboration. Thanks for the interview and chance to win.
ReplyDeletenicole edwards and kindle alexander would be great together
ReplyDeleteJosh Lanyon & Abi Roux. I'd love to see Adrien & Jake get help solving a murder by Ty & Zane.
ReplyDeleteRhys Ford & Charlie Cochet
ReplyDeleteSean Michael and Kade Boehme! The smut and the snark would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteThey already have collaborated: Mary Calmes and Cardeno C. So my next pairing would be Renae Kaye and JL Merrow - I would love some kind of Australian-British collab that I wouldn't understand a single word of. :)
ReplyDeleteHmm interesting question, so many authors who could co write, Rain Carrington and Patricia Logan with Josephine Myles a nice combination of English and American erotica, after a nice cup of tea or course :)
