Synopsis

Music: I really like the band, Fun. I also like what are
oldies now, but were contemporary when I was in high school and college:
Eagles, Bread, Hall and Oates, and Gordon Lightfoot.
Pop: caffeine free, diet Mountain Dew (I know, what’s the
point?)
TV show: I’m a sucker for a good crime or law show, but I
also watch Nashville, Modern Family and The Middle faithfully.

Alison McGhee, John Steinbeck, Ann Patchett, Charles Dickens, E. Annie Proulx,
and Lionel Shriver.
Book of fiction: Plain

What book am I currently reading: Don Quixote. I’m embarrassed to say I have never read it before and
when I was reading this book, The
Well-Educated Mind by Susan Wise Bauer I was challenged by the author to
give myself a classical education by reading certain classics in fiction,
poetry, and history in a certain chronological order to see how events in
history were influencing the arts and vice versa.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t limit myself to the classics. I
love good storytelling: Stephen King, Joe Nesbo, Louise Erdrich, Barbara
Kingsolver, Charlaine Harris, and Dennis Lehane. I have eclectic tastes in
fiction.
