I find the relationship dynamics fascinating, and i love seeing what they have to offer their partner. Often the older person does offer that level of stability that the younger partner yearns for and I like it best when the younger person brings something besides youthful exuberance and a healthy sex drive to the relationship. lol One of my favorite books of all time is For Real by Alexis Hall and through his relationship with Toby, Laurie ends up rediscovering a lot of things about himself that he'd lost touch with.

<3 totally loved this. <3 Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01522868219702056875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6518615599963587871.post-24433435365877958522018-04-17T06:05:19.142-07:002018-04-17T06:05:19.142-07:00I love May/December story be it on fiction or RL, ...I love May/December story be it on fiction or RL, though I mostly read about them on books. I say this from experience, and it's different than how you describe. I am the November in the May/Nov. We met 15 yrs ago. But I was the inexperienced one. I had just come out, he had been out since JHS. He was already confident of who he was. I was too in terms of as a whole person, but also discovering anew the gay part of me. Whatever the dynamic, it's worked and we're now married going on 2 yrs.Purple Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09543153769940506981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6518615599963587871.post-34832271386612402802018-04-16T19:31:51.469-07:002018-04-16T19:31:51.469-07:00Thank you for the post! I think as long as both individuals are full grown adults and can consent then it's not an issue however if one is a minor and the other isn't the relationship is very concerning. As for books, I don't really read them and if I know the book is a May/December romance I probably won't buy it unless something else in the blurb catches my fancy. IRL and in fiction, I think it depends (of course) on the people involved if May/December relationships work (as with any relationship). We have a friend who has had several that didn't work, but he is in one now that is working. I think it was because he, personally, needed to be in a different place in his own life for any relationship to work.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01153739860343193475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6518615599963587871.post-34858163998389427282018-04-16T17:45:31.663-07:002018-04-16T17:45:31.663-07:00Thanks for the post, interesting as always. Thanks for the post, interesting as always.heath0043https://www.blogger.com/profile/08499418029121941601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6518615599963587871.post-86703776068481180902018-04-16T16:44:54.393-07:002018-04-16T16:44:54.393-07:00Thank you for the insight and post. Having an 11 year age myself, I don't feel it at all, and that's why so often I get frustrated when reading books with 8 year gaps or even less and telling how worlds apart these characters are. I guess it's also a cultural thing, because I have read so much about being slightly over 30 and feeling old in English speaking books that it actually makes me sad. Here, in Italy, you are considered young at 40.
Still, I seek out May/December romances and sometimes find a book I can actually relate to.Natalijahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06157583437320090608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6518615599963587871.post-89689934043824589182018-04-16T07:37:39.318-07:002018-04-16T07:37:39.318-07:00I love these articles!
