Synopsis

A Dark Taboo Tale

For years, Rex Mirza has been controlling every aspect of his twin brother’s life. Using the fact that Tavi is a magicless witch — a mere human — in a family of powerful witches, he has justified every harsh treatment. All of it is only for Tavi’s own good, of course. How could a human possibly know what was best for him?

When Tavi gets the chance to turn the tables on his brother, will he take it? Or will he take the punishment Rex says is due for trying to run away?

*This is a dark, taboo tale with several kinks that may offend or trigger some readers, including (but not limited to) age play, ABDL, and humiliation. Not every dynamic or element is 100% consensual.

Review

I've read a lot of books with a lot of everything in them. Want is the first I've read where ABDL was involved. ABDL stands for Adult Baby Diaper Lover for those who are not familiar with it. Now, I pride myself on my diversity so when this was presented I went into it with an open mind not knowing what to expect. So here's the low down on part one of R. Phoenix's trilogy.

It's not, what I'd assume, would be a typical BDSM ABDL relationship. First off Rex and Tavi are brothers (Twins) so there's a lingering incestual theme. Tavi is a regular human and Rex is a warlock/witch. They live in a complex time where humans are low on the totem pole and Rex is in charge of his younger-ish brother. And through the years Rex has taken advantage of the control and Tavi found an opportunity to pay his brother back.

That's as much as I'll say about the story because while you see the non-con element, it's building toward something I'm not sure where it will go. It doesn't end with any finality as it is 1 of 3 books in this trilogy. I will say that it was fascinating to learn about ABDL and I am open minded enough to know that while it isn't for me it is something that others enjoy. Rex finds this out, and I am really excited to see how this turns out for him.

R. Phoenix always takes us on a dark path with her writing. She writes the things many wonder and she opens minds to the possibility of all things. Don't dismiss this book because you see ABDL, humiliation, and other not so easily read topics. Give it a chance, you may find you are pulled into this world and Tavi and Rex's story as I was.
