Synopsis

The men of Kiss of Leather celebrate a beginning, but will the price be another ending?

The grand opening of Kiss of Leather draws near and the pressure is on to make sure everything is completed in time. Master Josh is a perfectionist, so no detail is too small in order to enhance the quality of the prestigious club they’ve all worked so tirelessly on. Unfortunately, the endless demands on Josh’s time have caused him to forget the more important things in life.

David’s love for Master Josh is overpowering at times, but lately, that love has been constantly tested. How can a sub in a fulltime D/s relationship serve a Master who’s never there? As things continue to deteriorate between him and Josh, David wonders if maybe his Master has tired of having to care for a sub full time.

By the time the grand opening arrives, Josh and David seem to have worked out their differences and David is hopeful for their future. The emotional collaring ceremony between Gavin and Kyle is a beautiful reminder of the power of love. But when an unexpected party crasher intrudes on the evening’s festivities, the men are reminded that there are still too many unanswered questions related to Corey’s kidnapping.

More than ever, the men of Kiss of Leather need to stand strong together. Will Josh and David be able to do the same?

Review

Grand Opening is book 4 in Morticia Knight’s Kiss of Leather series. I will say this series is likely my favorite BDSM series. Each book follows another couple but they are all entwined.

In Grand Opening we are focusing on Josh and David but it is multiple POV’s so we see Marshall and Stone again. Also get Gavin’s POV, David’s, and Josh’s. It’s not head hoppy if you are thinking that. It all blends really well together.

Each book has emotion to it. This one felt thicker in that department. David and Josh are an established D/s couple that live the lifestyle 24/7. Now David feels…is…. neglected by his Master and their relationship crumbles. The power of their relationship is described so well that you find yourself crying with them, feeling with them, wanting so much to see it work. When David feels the all-encompassing end that pushes him to do something he never has in this relationship, it feels like the air leaves your lungs.

I don’t belittle non BDSM relationships but the intensity of David and Josh’s is something not all couples, many, ever have. Their loss is incredible. It takes so much to get it back on track.
On top of that there’s still the hunt for Mike going on so the suspense and mystery is in full swing. Add the characters, and the future possibilities of books to come and yeah… incredible.

Morticia balances it all incredibly. I was never confused and completely invested. She follows the BDSM rules to a T and the amount of respect she gives it is awe-inspiring.

Josh and David’s story is heart breaking and heartwarming. It shows another side of the lifestyle I haven’t seen that often in the BDSM stories I’ve read and I loved that.
This is a must read series!
