Blurb:
Feuding families, unearthed secrets, and a violent storm threatens the Cay. Will the idyllic island with her cast of characters make it through unscathed? It’s time for the circle to close on the story of Sapphire Cay, and on the men who have lived and found love on her beaches.

Join characters old and new as we celebrate Dylan and Lucas’s wedding and delve into the history of Sapphire Cay.

Connor and Shaun are directly related to Peter and Alfie, a couple whose clandestine lover affair was overshadowed by old prejudices and a world war. Shaun Jamieson is a writer, a romantic and needs to pen the story of the affair’s final secrets; Connor French’s family wants to stop Shaun.

When the two men step onto the sands of Sapphire Cay, they find more than just the secrets of an old love. They find hope and comfort in each other. But with the past hanging over them, can they ever have what Peter and Alfie could not? Or are they just as ill-fated as their ancestors?

Excerpt:
Shaun booked his luggage in and judged he had ninety minutes to kill before the flight. He had his notes to go through, drafts of questions he wanted to ask, and the two-day nagging disappointment to wrestle with that he hadn’t gotten any further with fleshing out who Peter French had been. Damn French family had closed all the doors to him. Annalisa wouldn’t speak to him apparently, or so Oscar said. As to Oscar French, nephew of Peter, well he’d refused to see him. Now, Connor French, youngest of the family had reacted exactly as Shaun suspected he would.
It’s not like I’m some kind of tabloid hack. He’d gone into the French office two days ago with a whole slew of reasons why the French family had nothing to fear from a book that detailed a life so many years ago.
He’d had the rationale about why he wanted to know more about his own great-grandfather’s youth. About the stories that had been passed down through the generations. Until the legacy of what society had made Alfie Jamieson have to hide was exposed. He stopped at the first coffee shop he could find and ordered the strongest coffee they had, before sitting in the corner with his back to the wall, facing out to people watch.
All he’d managed to get out was that it was the twenty-first century and no one gave a shit. Well, no one that was educated and actually mattered. Why was he only able to get that much out? He groaned and felt like burying his head in his hands. Fucking Connor French had checked Shaun out, Shaun was convinced of it. Somehow in those few seconds there had been an unspoken connection between two gay men in the same room, both of whom found the other attractive. Of course Connor wouldn’t have seen Shaun checking Connor out because he was too busy tracking his gaze from toes to eyes and back again. That simple connection had sent way too much blood south instead of it circulating oxygen to his damn brain.
What a fucking shame. Connor was his type, all that buttoned-down goodness wrapped in a suit, pristine and pressed, ready to be unwrapped.
So you lost it, you idiot. You let a beautiful face pull you off the agenda you had in your head. He’d blown it, the shutters fell, and there was no damn way he was going to get any information from Connor.
The whole visit to the Foundation itself had been a last ditch attempt to get cooperation, and now he had one thing to rely on. Sapphire Cay and Dylan Gray.
